“Be very careful staying here, during our stay the drains were blocked which made the entire building smell like a sewer. Those blocked drains then backed up causing the dirty water to come up through the drain in the sink flooding part of the hotel room. We had to pack our bags wading through an inch of dirty water on the floor to move to another room. My hats off to the poor girl working the front desk as she tried her best to help us but alas she was no plumber and also the only employee in the building for the weekend. She's the only reason this is not a 1 star rating. And to round out an extraordinary staycation, the front door was broken and jammed shut when we came to check out so we had to leave by a fire exit in the back of the building.”

“A home when you are not home! Due to remolding in our house, we had to stay few days at a hotel close by. We stayed first at comfort suites, and we had a very unpleasant experience, so we cancelled the rest of our reservations, and moved to homewood suites. What a great location at Bay Area blvd/ old Galveston road. A great friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Staff are very nice and professional. They take their time to help you out and answer your questions. Outdoor swimming pool, laundry room, buffet breakfast, and a room that includes a full equipped kitchen! What you could ask for more in a hotel?”
