“Small rooms, typical of New York, but stylishly decorated and with lots of taste. Convenient location right next to some of Manhattan's trendiest spots, and just a short walk away from the centre of Midtown. Luxurious suites and a swanky bar on the ground floor. Good breakfast service.”

“We were here 5 nights over Christmas. On the first day, no one cleaned our room. When we called just to get fresh towels, we were told they'd be right up, but never showed up. Bar service was very, very slow. It was difficult to get a drink. I have not spent a lot of time in NYC but thought this would be a premium experience. However, I found the wait staff in the attached Starbucks were more attentive and thankful for my business. All that said, the hotel is beautiful, historic, and close to many major attractions, so that is worth something. I'd give it a 2.5 for service, and a 3.5 for location and history.”
