“There are pool police to stop you from doing the traditional all inclusive things such as drinking in the pool and using inflatables. There is only one pool, by the way. It was a very large and warm pool, however, with iguanas and peacocks that are fun to watch. Mariel took forever checking us in - eventually the manager came over and helped. Then, after waiting so long to get checked in, we had to wait another 45 minutes for our bags to be brought up! We regretted ever handing them over. The room was so loud - sounded like the neighbors were in your room with you and you could hear the music from the bar all night. The A/C was broken off the wall - had to figure out how to tilt it just the right way then the housekeeper would come in and set it super low making it freezing when we got back. There was black mold on the toilet. The beds were comfortable. Ordering food and drinks was a bit of a lottery - sometimes they would show up after a long time, sometimes they wouldn’t. We both got food poisoning. Don’t count on keeping your chair by the pool - people move your stuff off of them. The ocean was warm but completely muddy and dirty and there was a crocodile in it the first day. Beach is short so long beach walks aren’t possible.”

“Nice hotel to be with the family, it has a beach which is not completely private, but it is very clean and well preserved. The hotel is old and in need for some restoration, especially the rooms. What I did not like at all is the constant push for you to purchase the membership all the time. I am here on vacation and to to be attending talks. We came in July...so COVID is still bad in Mexico, but the hotel implemented a lot of safety measures, to keep distance and by keeping all the areas clean and disinfected.”
