“The best thing we liked about this hotel was the location. It is located ocean side so you do not have to cross the street to access the ocean. It is just out of the high traffic area, but still a great location to dining and shopping. The staff was less friendly and helpful than other hotels visited, the room decor was outdated, the lower lobby's room leaked (pouring in) in multiple places during rain, the services for beach accommodations was poorly organized.”

“Lipstick on a .......... Place needs a major overhaul. Rooms are dated. Way dated. Bathrooms have been renovated. Hallways are dark and dingy. No bellman to help luggage. Front desk was very nice and helpful and recognized my Ambassador status but didn't offer me anything in the way of a room upgrade or the like. Breakfast was nice with really good service. No club room. Pool was packed. No service. Beach was worse. Even the staff complained that they had only 3 people working the entire beach and 2 of those were new. 30 minutes for a drink. Dinner at the formal restaurant was good, not great. Slow service. Casual restaurant by the pool was the best service and food. Location is ok. Miami was the Boardwalk along the ocean. Fort Lauderdale has a sidewalk next to road that gets very busy. Next time I will do the W or a nicer Marriott property. Pass on this property.”
