“Great service on a beautiful property. Service was, as usual with Novotel and Accor properties, amazing. The resort is situated on a pretty steep hill which makes it about a 300-350 meter walk to the water. Most resorts in Kata have a long flat walk to the water as a few resorts block the access to the beach. This walk was not too hard, and helped burn the calories on the way back up after eating the plentiful food at the bottom of the hill all day.
The walk takes you to the North end of Kata which is a lot cleaner and calmer (water and sand) than the south portion. Chairs can be rented for 100b all day or you can sit on the beautiful clean sand. Food is plentiful.
10/10 will stay again.
Negatives for resort were that the kids club was not staffed and food is very pricey. We did eat at the Wednesday night 399 buffet and absolutely loved it.
5 min walk from resort is the walking night market for cheap tasty food including some of the best scallops (Hoy Shell) I’ve had.
