I visited for New Year's Eve. Everything was OK. Only the Buffet restaurant was working along with the bar and a Patisserie (only in the afternoon). I guess the other restaurants are open only in the summer. The food was plentiful, but was not very diverse. The biggest problem was the lack of table capacity in the only open restaurant during dinner. Some guests even had to eat while standing because there were no free tables. The rooms and overall buildings are a bit dated. The bathroom sink had cracks and the stairways were not cleaned in a while (we took the stairways because at peak hours we had to wait for the elevators for more than 5 minutes).

We are a family of 3 Adults who arrived at the hotel in mid October for 7 night stay we all had a lovely time the staff in all areas of the hotel that we visited were always polite & helpful . The hotel is spotlessly clean we had a superior room which was cleaned daily we had lovely food lots of choice for everyone . We walked to the town which is about 20mins taxis are always available & reasonably cheap. It's a shame the outdoor pools aren't heated as they are freezing cold , there was a lack of Adult evening entertainment dancing shows etc . We went to the Royal bar several times we think it would of benefited with suitable background music for a better atmosphere.

So I really wish there were more positives I could think of but the only positives were the adorable cats situated around the hotel who were so sweet, and probably that most of the staff were friendly and the buffet had good vegan options. I came here alone wanting some R&R after recent stresses I have been going through with my personal life. I did not feel relaxed at all. Aside from the number of kids running around like annoying little ants (mind you I didn't realise the whole of Essex would be here during half-term), there were numerous other issues. - So I paid 75 euros for a deluxe spa package which was 1 hr 45. i considered this expensive but thought I would treat myself. Anyway, the lady who massaged me could not speak English and did not communicate with me what she would be doing. She simply pulled down my towel, exposing my chest, which I felt very uncomfortable with. She was also touching me in intimate areas, despite me telling her not to. She finished 10 mins before the scheduled end of the massage. The last 15 mins she put on the clay mask so in total, the massage lasted about 45 mins instead of 1 hour. I complained to guest relations twice and nothing was done about it! I have now complained to the holiday company and requested a partial refund. - there was no iron at the hotel. i asked about this at reception many times and they said they did not have one which I find ludicrous for a 5 star resort. - my room was very cold and I was told the main heating source was switched off, so it was just blowing out cold air - the gym facilities were extremely poor. this was one of the reasons I booked this resort. no air conditioning before 8am and there were no mats to do exercises on (despite asking about this several times). The opening times were also not ideal- 8am until 8pm. i like to wake up very early and use the gym before breakfast but this was not possible. More than half the machines were broken, the size of the gym was small, - I went in half term as a single person and didn't realise how many children would be there. loud crying babies and children in the corridor outside my room when i was trying to sleep and children messing about outside. should have a "children free" pool area. - Food items not clearly labelled in buffet so hard to know what was suitable for vegans. also too many greedy people and children pushing through to get food. I hardly ate whilst i was there due to their rude greedy behaviour. - No dairy free milk options available- i sent an email 2-3 weeks before arrival asking about this but my email was ignored! - House keeping not attending until the end of the day when inconvenient. also not cleaning properly or replacing towels/toiletries. - Had to keep chasing reception to send someone up/sort out issues they said they would deal with. If you want a relaxing holiday with good service, do not book here!!!

Location 5star, property 5star, food 6star, s front desk staff 3.5star.Restaurant staff 4.5star, very good property with super duper food especially beef preparations and beef ribs was just super delicious. SPA Staff was more interested in selling spa packages. Overall it is very good resort and if got chance will visit again. Take all inclusive package you will never regret.

The Ramada is a very rare thing it is a destination that exceeds every expectation. From the moment I arrived at the resort I felt relaxed and happy I chose for my holiday and this feeling was reinforced as every turn by way the place is run. The team work flawlessly together to deliver a world-class service. Each team does its best to deliver an amazing quality food and drink experience. There is warmth and genuine concern for each other that you rarely see in a modern hotel. Each team gets a ten for the outstanding chefs who put on an amazing choice of great food in all the restaurants to the special thanks to the pastry chefs who make such a varied amount of amazing desserts that you can hear a choir of angels sing. The bar staff are excellent and the hospitality team answer every question with a smile. The Accommodation was a maxing we returned every day immaculate room and was always friendly I could not have asked for better. And I have to say a quick thank you also to the grounds team they silently and professional maintained the property and made sure that the whole resort was spotless. Each morning was like waking up in a picture postcard of a resort as always spotless. Already planning my holiday there next year.
