When they had the cheek to send me an email asking me to book a new holiday at the Bonanza Palace, unrelated to my refund.
Still awaiting reply, not a good advert.”

Hello there, in March/ April 2020 we booked two rooms for a family of five. Due to COVID, the hotel contacted us and asked us to cancel our existing booking. I refused this as I booked two rooms that where non-refundable and I was also willing to take the trip. However the hotel Bonanza Palace Playa & Spa then cancelled our existing booking as they where were closing down. We contacted the hotel in and throughout March/ April 2020 in order to get reimbursed. We were offered vouchers that were initially only valid for 6 months. Due to school holiday restriction and my husband’s work we wouldn’t have been able to stay within the given time frame and I asked for a full refund. After several emails as well as telephone calls from my side the hotel gave us excuses after excuses. We were told that we are on top of the list to be refunded, a couple of weeks later they were subject to a cyber attack and in the end they didn’t respond to my emails nor phone calls!Any attempt to contact someone with authority to issue refunds were fobbed off. Once we have made contact with an authorised person after 5 months of trying, we spoke with (Ms Sans, Hotel Manager) the same repeated games are being played. The last communication with her was 2 weeks ago and we were told that our situation was being handled.. but again nothing since.At first we thought we should be more lenient given the unprecedented COVID situation but we had bookings with 2 other big hotels (Iberostar Alcudia Park in Majorca) and Hilton in Munich and both hotels issued refunds immediately without question!!The unprofessional behaviour of this hotel is beyond our comprehension.We still hold out hope they will do the right thing and issue our refund as promised by the hotel manager.Furthermore we are hopeful that the CEO of this hotel chain may read this post and realise of the games being played here with existing customers.StefanieJreige

MUY MALA EXPERIENCIA EN ESTE HOTEL. No lo recomendaría ni volvería a alojarme aquí. Mi marido pagó 225€ por una habitación para dos y pensión completa (desayuno y cena). Los servicios de los que queríamos disfrutar como anunciaban en su página web y también en booking estaban cancelados cuando llegamos al hotel, de modo que pagamos mucho dinero y no pudimos disfrutar ni del Spa (que estaba cerrado), ni de los buffets para el desayuno y la cena (que son famosos en este hotel y una de las razones por las que lo elegimos). En el momento de hacer el CHECK-OUT quisieron cobrarnos 26€ por unas bebidas que nosotros no habíamos consumido. Hablamos con la directora para expresar nuestras quejas y pedir una compensación por todos los servicios que habíamos pagado y no habíamos disfrutado. La directora fue mal educada, prepotente y desconsiderada. Nos hizo enfadarnos más y sentirnos estafados. Hicimos la reserva en booking y no ponía en ningún lugar que los servicios se hubieran cancelado o modificado. Después de pagar todo ese dinero nos encontramos con el buffet y el spa cerrado. Nos dieron un menú con 4 o 5 entrantes y principales y 3 opciones de postre dónde sólo había 1 opción vegetariana (obviamente no se puede comparar con un buffet libre donde puedes comer todo lo que quieras y puedes elegir entre muchas opciones de comida). Cenamos a oscuras y tuvimos que utilizar la luz del teléfono para ver qué había en los platos y poder comer ya que no había ninguna luz que iluminara nuestra mesa (igual que otros clientes que también estaban a oscuras). Tampoco pudimos disfrutar del spa que estaba cerrado. Fue dinero tirado a la basura y nos fuimos muy ofendidos con el trato que recibimos por parte de la directora; además quería que le dijéramos los nombres de los camareros de la cena para culparles a ellos de la falta de luz, cuando la culpa es de la dirección y no de los pobres camareros que bastante hicieron. Después de mucho discutir, la directora nos ofreció quedarnos en la habitación durante el resto de día y utilizar la piscina, tuvimos que insistir y pelear para que al menos nos diera de comer... No sé cómo gente así llega a puestos de mando. SINCERAMENTE NO MERECE LA PENA GASTAR VUESTRO DINERO Y TIEMPO EN ESTE HOTEL. MEJOR INVERTIRLO EN OTROS.

Stayed here just as the Covid restrictions were lifting. The staff were amazing, every one of them, from start to finish. The pools are gorgeous, the access to the sea for snorkelling perfect and the wellness centre with jacuzzi is so relaxing. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Carmen, the manager was very welcoming and attentive.Pepe and Pablo worked at the pool bar from sunrise to dark with a smile on their faces despite the heat. The view from the room balcony was stunning. It was a really special and relaxing holiday.

Por tema laboral entramos de noche al hotel y nos regalaron la cena, copa de bienvenida y nos cambiaron la habitación por otra superior. Al día siguiente nos dejaron quedar en el hotel para poder degustar todas sus instalaciones todas muy limpias. El desayuno buffet muy variado y excelente el trato de la recepcionista Eva y el Director Tolo. Sin duda repetiremos!!.

Fuimos de luna de miel para 3 noches, la atención y el trato del personal increíble, muy buena ubicación del hotel, la habitación estándar con vista al mar era moderna, bonita y limpia. El Buffet del restaurante prinzipal muy bien. Una noche fuimos a cenar al restaurante Krystal que fui fenomenal, la atención del jefe de sala Alberto fue perfecto, profesional y muy amable. La comida aparte que era muy rica y fresca, la presentación también espectacular... Recomendamos el Restaurante Krystal como el Hotel 100%!!!Muchas gracias!!!

Excelente hotel en Mallorca. Habitaciones confortables y modernas, atención por parte de todo el personal perfecta, vistas frente al mar y Buffet completísimo. La zona en la que se encuentra está un poco masificada aunque cerca de Palma y de las carreteras para acceder a cualquier punto.No pudimos hacer uso de las piscinas exteriores por el tiempo pero la interior y el spa muy conseguidos. Arquitectura exterior de los 70. Recomendable

Hemos pasado el puente de noviembre y ha sido todo una maravilla.Te reciben y te hacen sentir como en casa...Desde los botones, recepción, limpieza, personal de comedor, dirección... hacen que tu estancia allí sea totalmente placentera, será una de las razones por las que volveremos.Las instalaciones y las habitaciones están genial, las habitaciones super limpias y completas, las camas grandiosas y super cómodas.La comida es otro de los puntos por los que volveríamos con los ojos cerrados. La variedad, la calidad y la limpieza es increíble. Disfrutas de comer y más en la sala con esas vistas a la bahía de Palma y con un servicio impecable.Disponen de un mini club, abierto para todos los niños, y a disposición tuya todo lo que necesites para los más peques.La piscina exterior y cubierta junto con el spa, completan un maravilloso puente en familia.Gracias en especial a Raquel (dirección) y a Miguel (Recepción) por el trato recibido.No duden que han ganado a unos fieles clientes.Gracias.

Really lovely personal hotel. The greeting in reception was very warm and welcoming. Everything is relaxing.The attention to detail is incredible. It was my birthday during my stay and the hotel did not know other than reading the information on my passport. On the day I came back to my room to a chilled complimentary bottle of Cava. Really nice touch and did not expect that.Breakfast was vast a huge choice of foods. Excellent start to the day.One small thing was the room configuration. The bathroom is part of the main room which means privacy is not great. If your in the bathroom sink area you are next to the hotel door and likewise if you're using the toilet or shower. It would be nicer if the bathroom was a separate room.Other than that small thing I would definitely recommend and return.Thank you team Bonanza!

We have stayed here on a number of occasions over the years and love it.The position is amazing with glorious view along the coast in either direction and across the bay of Palma.The staff are lovely and many have been with the hotel for many years.Food is excellent and the Krystal restaurant offers an excellent value fine dinning experience.An army of people keep the place spotlessly clean.There is a gym, spa, two pools, one adults only, a large restaurant on the 7th floor with a fabulous view, a pool bar restaurant and a dock for boating and diving.It's all situated in a lovely quite residential area just a short drive or bus journey away from Palma

My friends and I (9 girls in total) stayed recently in this lovely hotel. From the door we were welcomed with a smile and friendly staff, glasses of champagne were served to us while we were waiting and this was just the beginning. Lovely staff -Pepe (lovely smile ) Christian and Clara always looked after us well and breakfast- which was fabulous and dinner-just delicious.A big thank you to all who made our stay unforgettable- Raquel- great manager, Nevena, Ramon, Miguel, Eva( very smiley and helpful receptionist) and of course the Bellboys Carmelo and Jorge.I highly recommend this hotel.

I was looking for a peaceful, quiet place with lots of sports facilities (swimming pool, sauna, fitness center), close to the sea.It was a perfect place for me: the room with breathtaking sea views, quiet, tasteful music in the sauna, swimming pool, bar. The dishes were delicious and always an exceptionally finely caught.Special thanks to all the staff , and to my dear waiter Cristian, who also made that 6 days unforgettable.

What a wonderful place. We had previously stayed at H10 punta negra and had a terrible experience with the Manager over charging us so we booked here. The staff go over and above to provide the most memorable stay for you. The Manager Toni (I think) left a letter under our door to welcome us to the hotel and the night before check out we got another slip saying thank you and a lollipop. On arrival there were two lindt chocolates.Pools are amazing! Beach is amazing and so warm with lots of access points.Dive centre is great! Leaves at 10am for the boat dives.There is a sauna and wellness centre with the indoor pool- we didn't even know about it.Gym is great looking out to the sea.Breakfast staff are so funny and lovely.Grilled lobster at lunch was so good!Lunch finishes at 3.30pm at the pool bar then you can't get anything else. Should be open all day.Nice big car parks up top as well.Lots of activities. Water Aerobics guy has great music and is very enthusiastic. We wanted to do Archery and shooting but it was too hot, so we stayed at the pool.Nice room balconies and design of room.Welcome Cava was great.Huge hotel but they made a great use of the space.Will be back. We extended already when we were there.People reserve their beach chairs by putting a yellow towel down there at 7am. It says everywhere you can't reserve, however people still do. Need to have the lifeguard taking the towels off if no one is sitting there and if they see them try reserve it.Guests are rude at breakfast, it is as if it is their last meal. So strange. Russian guests next to us took 9 full peaches from the buffet and then stuffed them in their bag and there were none left for anyone. They also drunk 9 glasses of cava between them for breakfast!One lady was filling an entire bowl with coffee? Maybe to take for later into a hot bottle? Not acceptable.Also saw a lady in gym clothes fill up her bottle with the water at breakfast and her dirty mouth part of the bottle was touching the water.The waiters have seen some of this but aren't sure how to tell them off, as Management wants 10/10 service. However I think there needs to be an exception here. If they see someone steal extra from breakfast. To embarrass them on the spot and charge a fee or something. I also saw a lady touch all the peaches before walking away with none. Maybe have a fruit station and you have to ask for the fruit. Like the omelette station.We told management about the plastic strips around the pool towels, that they need to be cut. My sister tripped over one badly as it blew off the stairs. Also a choking hazard for all sea life. The next day they were all cut. Quick change which was great.Watch out for jellyfish swimming in the ocean. I got stung by one and its so painful. It burns into your skin. Dangerous if near eyes, heart or with little kids. Wear goggles when in the ocean or a rash shirt.Rooms could be a bit bigger. With a roll away bed it was a squeeze. We managed but still.The night lights in the room are annoying at night, had to sleep with an eye mask. They need to be covered over some how. The straw walls smell a bit too strong of straw.Pool towels should be open past 3pm.

We spent 5 nights of our honeymoon here and it was just ridiculously amazing. If I could give 10 stars to this hotel, I would.- Location was calm and perfect. We didn't want to party all night and Illetes appealed to us with its cozy roads, nearby restaurants, and easy access to Palma by bus.- The hotel is just one floor above ground from the road side, but it's on a cliff so the other side has an incredible view out to sea.- Reception was spectacular with champagne and a nice welcome. We even got a free Cava bottle in the room because of the occasion.- Reception floor has a piano where someone plays frequently, a bar, and a killer view.- We checked in early so our room wasn't ready. We were provided access to a temp room where we could shower and change. A luxury. Instead of spending our wait in the lobby, we ended up by the pool.- There are three pools and a spa - one for every taste. It wasn't loud or too busy there, despite being there in June, near high-season. The clientele is slightly older and families, so that plays a role.- There are a few bars and restaurants inside, but honestly, we had our best time at night sitting near the sea and drinking cava with no one around.- Room was spacious with a balcony, and luxurious. Excellent shower and toilet, cleaned daily, everything provided.- Breakfast was BEYOND AMAZING. It's an entire floor with killer views and all the buffet things you may want. The choices there, the options, the different styles - I was floored. It remains to this day the best hotel breakfast I've had. From a yogurt station, to cheese and ham, live omelette and potato stations, many juices, many fruits and veggies, all the milk and coffee and tea you'd want, and more.- Oh and if you want to have a bit of fun, the hotel on the other side of the road is from the same chain and you can go play mini golf for free!Overall, this is a hotel that's worthy of its five stars. We're already planning to come back here for our 5 or 10-yr anniversary.

Celebramos nuestra boda en este hotel espectacular. La atención del personal en cualquier zona del hotel es inmejorable, nos sentimos muy bien atendidos en todo momento. Las instalaciones están en muy buen estado y han hecho algunas reformas que dan al hotel un cambio de imagen precioso. Tiene dos piscinas de gran tamaño y una pequeña cala muy acogedora. La comida del buffet y el restaurante Krystal es de gran calidad. Volveremos seguro.

He estado alojado una noche en la suite presidencial y ha sido impresionante.La ubicación del hotel es magnífica, la habitación estaba muy limpia, la ropa de cama era de muy buena calidad, así como las toallas y albornoces. Pero lo que realmente marca la diferencia, en mi opinión, es el trato humano. Todos los trabajadores y trabajadoras con los q coincidí fueron muy amables y educados. En resumen, una estancia perfecta.

Excelente e inolvidable experiencia en el hotel:Riu Palace Bonanza Playa ****Servicio y trato excelentes, personal muy atento en todo momento, siempre con una sonrisa dibujada en la cara. El hotel presume de instalaciones reformadas y decoradas con mucho gusto.Despertar en una habitación del hotel Riu Bonanza Playa es como amanecer en un crucero, sus vistas son inmejorables.Cuentan con un gran equipo en la cocina, gastronomía variada, de gran calidad. Sitienes un buen paladar sin duda no pierdas la oportunidad de visitar el restaurante Krystal. Su cocina vanguardista te dejará sin palabras. Mi marido y yo disfrutamos de una maravillosa e inolvidable velada, donde no falto detalle y atención por parte del personal.Disponen de dos grandes piscinas que invitan a disfrutar de refrescantes cocteles. Mi grupo familiar y yo estuvimos pasando 6 días y 5 noches en este hotel , en julio 2018, maravilloso es la palabra que puede describir nuestra experiencia , la piscina , la cala privilegiada que tienen, todos los servicios excelentes , limpieza de las habitaciones increíbles, atención del personal de los restaurantes , piscina y recepción sobresaliente y hay que destacar en la dirección la señorita Raquel Torres Quien estuvo atenta a cada necesidad de todos los huéspedes muy sobresaliente. Repetiremos por seguro y lo recomendáremos , agradecidos Pedro López y Tania Vazquez

Bonito emplazamiento sobre una cala, hermosas y reformadas habitaciones, se respira tranquilidad, el personal es muy amable en todos los departamentos pero sobre todo en el restaurante, sobre todo una chica que se llama Miriam y también Alberto del Pool bar.El desayuno bueno pero repetitivo y creo que podría ser mejor, desde mi punto de vista le falta calidad a los fiambres y falta salmón ahumado.Respecto a las cenas, las esperaba mejores, no me han gustado las ensaladas, para mi gusto poco elaboradas y tampoco la selección de carnes pues me ha faltado entrecot ó solomillo.La comida del Pool Bar bastante buena.En resumen un muy buen hotel en su conjunto, pero no le puedo conceder la excelencia porque sinceramente pienso que falta más variedad y calidad en las comidas.

Hemos ido al Spa, y nada mas llegar tuve que volver al coche a dejar nuestras cosas ya que solo disponen de 12 taquillas par todos... Asi que como si vas a la sauna o a la piscina con la mochila encima.... Instalaciones pobres.. Y bueno el masaje bien normalito.... No volveria ya que esta algo lejos, aparcamiento justito y no merece la pena pagar.. Me cobran dos gorros que no ha echo falta utilizar y que no nos han dado...

Wonderful hotel, with great and kind stuffs. Nice view to ocean. Rooms are clean and bed comfort to sleep. If you want to do sports or just rest at the pool, this is the right choice to do that. Breakfast was really good and breakfast can be enjoyed in beautiful seascapes.It was easy to use public transport to Palma. The bus runs right front of the hotel.

Absolutely one of the best hotel who have it all,so also the amazing service minded and smiling stuff. The restaurant food & wine was impressive from breakfast to dinner. It was really something extra ordinary feeling to stay here. It’s hard to explain in words how great our stay for almost two weeks was last year in October. I booked this delightful hotel as a surprise for my partners 50th Birthday Treat. It was outstanding, I chose very well, my partner was over the moon and enjoyed our stay very much.When we arrived we was greeted by Rachel one of the managers she was amazing, clearly had a interest in making sure guests felt welcome, to be greeted by a manger was a fantastic touch, never had this before.We was given a glass of Champers whilst everything was soerted. Enjoyed the views whilst we sipped our bubbly.We went to our room, WOW. Fatstic views, so tranquil.Our luggage was fetched to our room. Then another knock on the door about 10 mins later, we received a cmplemetery bottle of Champers for my partners 50th.Another lovely touch.All in all we had a fantastic, relaxing, chilled 4 night stay at this Amazing hotel, we don't go back to the same place as a rule, but I think we will bend the rules with this hotel.We enjoyed the al a cartè meal in the resturaunt Krystal, the breakfast was great, so much choice, spot on.The bar in the lobby was very relaxing.Also the the indoor pool, Jacuzzi spa, steam room and sauna was just perfect.Look forward to our next visit.A massive thank you to all the staff at Hotel Riu Palace

Not brand new but still very nice. Good service, nice swimming pool. The food from the buffet and in the Krystal restaurant is really great. Prices for drinks are rather high for people of central Europe. Hiwever, we had a very good time. Invest the 11€ per day for the parking lot to save time and nerve. It is impossible to find a free parking space in Illetes.

We had a nice stay here but not as high as the reviews here would have you believe (which is why we decided to go for it in the first place). The positives - the rooms were good, the staff were very helpful and polite and the buffet breakfast was also nice and varied.However other pretty basic hotel amenities had been overlooked and the hotel was more basic than expected - the sun loungers around the pool were very uncomfortable making lying around the pool all day a less than enjoyable experience, meaning we usually just went to the beach instead. Aside from the lobby, there was no air con in any of the public spaces which made entering and leaving the hotel uncomfortable, and the hotel charges extra for things which should really be included at the price e.g. charging for parking, a daily safe charge etc.Overall despite not having a bad experience here, for the money if I were to come back to Mallorca I'd go elsewhere.

Nice amd clean resort. During my stay in early November it was fairly quiet but I guess in high season it can be very busy so not sure how well they cope with the crowds. Rooms were fine but this open plan bathroom idea might cause some issue to people. Still don't get the point of this design. Cleaning ladies tend to chat out loud in the early morning hours (8:00am) outside the rooms which is definitely annoying. However they do serve a good and rich variety of breakfast. All areas are clean and pool outdoor space very pretty. Location wise there is a bus stop just outside the hotel with buses going to Palna or a 15 minutes drive to Palma. They do have private parking but charge extra 10 euro per day.Overall a good place to stay and relax for a few days.

I have just got home after a week in this hotel and it was AMAZING. The staff at the hotel go above and beyond for you and are always friendly and welcoming. Every member of staff says hello to you, the dining room staff Clara, Marius, Pepe, Conso and another pretty brunette who had no name badge made breakfast and dinner a lovely meal every time. The food choice is astounding, me and my Dad have complicated diets (ovo-pescetarian) and my mum is vegan so we are not the easiest family to cater for but we were not disappointed. The rooms were lovely, spacious and kept clean to a very high standard by the maids. The only suggestion I would make would be to maybe designate one of the pools as a 'quiet' pool and kids can be noisy in the other pool. Other than that this hotel is faultless. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

This is the best hotel in illetes, We stayed 3 nights which are the best part of the holiday in Majorca.Location: the hotel is in the middle of Palma city and Magaluf, 20 to 25 mins from the bus stop in the front of the hotel to Palma city. It's around 800 meter away from illetes beach with crystal clear water and a restaurant and bar plus a lot of water sports options.Facilities: every thing in this hotel must have a front sea view, Restaurants, gym, spa, outdoor/indoor pool. I like the gym very much cause it's like fully function gym with almost everything you can find from a normal gym. 2 Treadmills and a few spinning bike are sea view facing. The Spa is very very good, you can have a full body massage when you watchtraffic on the sea. There is 2 restaurants and 2 bars, all good with very nice food and drinks at decent price.People: all stuffs in this hotel are smiling to you and they are very customer focused. They do care about your feeling and enjoy their work. I can see some stuff chatting with guests like old friends. You feel like at home.Shows: every night from 9pm till 11pm I think there will be a free show. You can enjoy drinks and snacks after the whole day sunbathing.Food: Food is very very good in the buffet restaurant, there is another one from the ground floor we didn't try. Advice is book half board in advance if the price difference for 2 people is less than or equal to 20 euros per day. The local restaurant will cost you 40 euros per person at the same quality.Room: every room has a sea view and the room is big enough for 2 people. The bed is quite comfortable. We don't spend a lot of time in the room though.Water sports: there is a diving school attached to this hotel, the price is 68 euros for the beginner course and 58 euros if you book for 3. They also provide other water sports services In the neighbourhood hotel or from illetas beach you can rent a kayak, that's my favourite thing to do here.Beach: illetas is very good for me, there is around 5 beaches around (I used kayak to explored all of them). The water is clear and very shallow so good for families. There is a bar/restaurant where you can change your cloth. You can rent 2 beach chairs and a big umbrella for 20 euros a day or you can bring yours.Airport transfer: you can take the bus to Palma city and the transfer to bus 3 which goes directly to the hotel or taxi would cost less time (19 mins) and cost around 28 to 30 euros

Amazing hotel! Quiet, air-conditioned, comfortable and clean. No drunk party people. The staff is extra friendly, smiling and greeting you all day long. Big buffet breakfast and delicious BBQ for lunch by the pool. Private beach access, clean pools, plenty of sunbeds. Everyone was just so pleasant to us! We decided to skip dinners and evening entertainment at the hotel and dine out. Very safe place, lovely beaches around Illetas, excellent weather, we had a wonderful time. We'd love to go back!

Nice and large hotel with a decent breakfast. In a very anonymous part of the island, even if some nearby beaches are nice. Bus stop right in front of the hotel. Appropriate only if you are looking for a very international environment, as nothing in the surrounding is typically maiorcan.

Great location right on the sea, with direct access to it. No beach, but there are a couple a few minutes walk. Rooms are very clean, well kept and modern. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is amazing, wide variety and all very tasty. Would definitely stay here again.

Brilliant hotel. Only downfall was no taxi service only if you were going to the airport. Having waited with other guests for an hour to be told to catch the local bus which was every 15 mins and cost €1.50 each. Wish they had told us on the first day.

Excelente trato. Família de 5 miembros tres de ellos niños. Celebramos el cumpleaños de la mayor (6años) y todo fueron facilidades. Suite para los cinco espaciosa y muy cuidada al detalle. Agradecer a la Sra. Torres, de dirección, todas las atenciones. Desde Barcelona, moltes gràcies!

Fuimos a cenar con unos amigos que se alojan allí. Cenamos del buffet de gran calidad , emplazamiento fantástico, todo muy bien cuidado y limpio, buen servicio y muy buena comida.
