“I was looking forward to our stay at this 5 star hotel. The location is absolutely perfect with so many places to visit in central London. Upon our arrival the hotel's lobby and reception is luxurious and spacious. Unfortunately I was disappointed by the incompetence of the reception staff. The rooms have already been paid for, but it took about 15 min to confirm that, then the whole checking in process was really slow. We had two rooms booked. When wanting to open the doors to our rooms we realised that we received two key envelopes but both were for one room only, so we had to go back to reception to retrieve a new key. The rooms are beautiful but not spotless as you would expect from a 5 star hotel, there was dust on the lampshade. Also the room feels like a shop, a lot of health and beauty products displayed to be purchased, including mouth wash which was £5 for a tiny bottle. Overall a beautiful hotel but I believe they need to have their staff trained better and be more efficient. And it wouldn't harm a bit more indulgence in the rooms for customers. You have the obligatory soap, shower gel and shampoo plus coffee, but nothing else. I mean there are biscuits in 3 star hotels at no extra cost.”
