Welcome to Europamundo! Upon arriving at the airport, we will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. Check the information boards in the hotel reception area for details of the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travelers.

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHT: City tour of Moscow with entrances to Kremlin and its main cathedrals.
We will start our day with an exciting visit to Russia’s huge capital city. This city unites past, present and future in a very unique way. We will visit the immense avenues, elegant shopping areas, the Red Square where Lenin’s Mausoleum is, Saint Basil’s Cathedral, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. We will also enter the Kremlin with a visit to two of its main cathedrals. We will try (not guaranteed) to coincide with the ceremonial military parade in Sobornaya Square. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure.

We will pass by the university viewpoint, with its fantastic view over the city where newly married couples leave flowers (we could go to the viewpoint after Saturday’s visit instead of Sunday) and we will get to know (including entry) the Great Patriotic War Museum (World War II) that also shows us many aspects of the Soviet period. Free afternoon.

We will get en route with a brief stop in KLIN, where we we can see the house formerly inhabited by Tchaikovsky, the great composer. We will continue to TVER. This town on the bank of VOLGA river was the centre of a small State that was Moscow’s main rival. Brief visit and lunch included. We will resume our trip to VALDAY, a picturesque, small town on a lake’s side. We will visit an old monastery on the island. We will continue to NOVGOROD. Dinner included.

We include a guided tour and tickets in NOVGOROD, an exciting city which was formerly one of Russia’s most important cultural and political hubs. We will visit its Kremlin, its old market quarter, Yaroslav’s Court... We will go to the city outskirts to visit the Wooden Architecture Museum, an outdoor museum of peasant houses and beautifully decorated wooden churches. Lunch included. We will continue to SAINT PETERSBURG. As we enter the city, we will take a brief sightseeing tour of this city crossed by the Neva River and built on top of 40 islands. Arrival at hotel.

We include a morning guided tour (with tickets) of St Petersburg, the second most important city in Russia and the capital of the former Russian Empire, including the entrance to the Fortress of Peter and Paul which is the origin of the city. Free afternoon.

Russia’s former capital in the tsarist period is surrounded by many palaces. On this day, we will include a tour (guided tour and tickets) of PETERHOF PALACE, known as the “Russian Versailles” located 30 km from Saint Petersburg. This baroque style set of palaces, used to be the tsars’ official residence and has some huge size and magnificent fountains and gardens declared World Heritage by UNESCO. Return to Saint Petersburg. Free afternoon.

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: beautiful extensive landscapes covered with woods and small towns on the way. Turaida castle. Lunch included.
Today we pass through forests and plains to reach PARNU, a popular spa city. We then travel on to Latvia. In TURAIDA we visit the medieval castle, surrounded by a large park with sculptures dedicated to Latvian Folklore. After lunch, included, we pay a visit to SIGULDA, the small and charming capital situated in a very beautiful landscape. We continue our journey, arriving to RIGA in the middle of the afternoon.

Enjoy a city tour of Riga, the capital city of Latvia and the most populated city from among the Baltic countries. The city is known not only for its cultural town center but, also, for its medieval old town, its Art Nouveau architecture and its well-preserved vestiges from the country´s time under the Soviet rule. We will include a quick transfer to the "Salapsil memorial”, located in what was once a Nazi´s Labor correctional camp. This is one of the largest memorial complexes in Europe built to commemorate the victims of Nazism. Free-time in the afternoon.

We will depart for LITHUANIA early in the morning. On our way there, we will visit the BAROQUE PALACE OF RUNDALE, built by the same architect who designed Saint Petersburg’s Hermitage Museum. We will cross over into Lithuania. This country has a strong Catholic influence, highlighted by the impressive HILL OF CROSSES, thousands of crosses of all sizes. Lunch included will be taken on route. Afterwards, we will visit TRAKAI, a gorgeous castle located on an island in a lake, close to Vilnius. Ending the day in VILNIUS.
Note: Depending on the duration of sunlight, the visit to Trakai may take place on Wednesday after visiting the city.

Today we continue to Poland. We will visit GRUTAS PARK, known as “Stalin’s World”, a park with 86 statues from Soviet times. Lunch stop in the charming town of AUGUSTOW which is located next to a lake. We will continue to the centre of Poland. Arriving in WARSAW at the end of the day.

Al comienzo de la tarde salimos hacia Austria, efectuamos parada en DURSTEIN, muy pintoresco pueblo a orillas del Danubio donde fue apresado Ricardo Corazón de León Siguiendo el Danubio continuamos a VIENA, la capital austriaca; llegada al final de la tarde.Nota: durante los meses de invierno, de noviembre a marzo, no se visitará Durstein por llegar en horas nocturnas y no tener actividad ni recursos turísticos en ese periodo.

Today we take a scenic visit around this impressive city with a local expert. Here we experience its majestic avenues, its palaces and the vibrant city center. Then we head directly to Schönbrunn Palace, where visitors can stroll around and enjoy its beautiful gardens. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon of leisure in the city center. In the evening we will go to the City Hall Square to enjoy the nightlife in the neighboring streets. Here you will get the opportunity to take dinner.

We leave Vienna on a stage of great scenic beauty, travelling through the mountains to Slovenia. A short stop in MARIBOR, a stroll around the Cathedral and Castle . Then we travel on to Croatia. Arrival in ZAGREB arouind 15.00 hrs. There will be a sightseeing tour with a local guide. We will have a chance to admire its two hills, the upper town and the new neighbourhoods of Croatia´s capital city. Dinner included.

We will leave first thing in the morning to travel to Bosnia. The border area still shows sad memories of the conflict that took place in the 1990s. We cross the Serb-majority Bosnia. First stop, BANIA LUKA, and time to walk through the capital of the autonomous entity of the Srpska Republika, the second largest city in Bosnia after Sarajevo, with its fortress and orthodox cathedral. Then, departure to JAJCE, perhaps the most beautiful town in Bosnia, with its cultural mix, its mosque, its fortress and its impressive waterfall. Time for a walk and lunch. We continue our journey to SARAJEVO, arriving in the mid-afternoon. With a local guide, we will take a panoramic tour of this city with strong Turkish influence: its Mosques, its Madrasahs, and its busy bazaars. Dinner included.

Before leaving Sarajevo we visit the Tunnel of Hope that saved the city during the Serbian siege in the war. Later, we continue to another exciting drive of scenic beauty. Amidst deep valleys, we travel to MOSTAR, with its very beautiful historic center and stone bridge separating the Orthodox, Muslim and Catholic communities. After lunch, we stop in MEDJUGORJE, a place that attracts thousands of Catholic Pilgrims. We then travel to CROATIA. Border procedures (which may take a while). We will then arrive into DUBROVNIK at the end of the day. Dinner included.

We are undoubtedly in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, surrounded by walls, bathed by the Adriatic Sea; its intact historic center is a jewel of world architectural heritage. The tour includes tickets to the Franciscan Monastery with the oldest pharmacy in Europe, and the Cathedral. We also include a boat trip to LOKRUM, a small island 15 minutes by boat from Dubrovnik and home to the ruins of a Benedictine monastery of the eleventh century, popular setting of the series "Game of Thrones". You can then enjoy free time, returning to the hotel at the end of the afternoon. Dinner included.

We set off early for MONTENEGRO. The coastal scenery and the Bay of Kotor are beautiful. We enjoy a ferry to cross the bay. Arrive in KOTOR to enjoy some time strolling in this beautiful walled town with its strong Venetian influence. After this we stop in BUDVA, a marvelous walled village surrounded by the sea to enjoy lunch. Then we travel to ALBANIA. We arrive in the capital of the Albania, TIRANA, and enjoy some free time. Dinner included.

At around midday, we leave for inland Albania, with high mountain scenery and small villages along the way. Enjoy the beautiful countryside around Lake Ohrid which forms the border with Macedonia. We continue to the Republic of Macedonia, and onto STRUGA, a picturesque town on the shores of the lake, time for lunch!

Today we travel through Macedonia to GREECE, passing through BITOLA, a historic city that was called the “City of Consuls”. The North of Greece is strongly Slav and Ottoman in influence and has a sharp landscape. Situated by the lake, with beautiful scenery, we see KASTORIA. Enjoy the city of 100 churches, with its medieval streets and its pleasant restaurants on the lakeside. Continuing to KALABAKA, we will arrive in the early afternoon. We will visit the Valley of the Meteora, an impressive place declared UNESCO World Heritage. You will also have the chance to enter one of its most famous Monasteries (entrance included) . Dinner included.

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHT: Delphi and Thessaly region.
We will travel south through the Thessaly region. We will arrive in DELPHI after enjoying the view of wonderful landscapes. Entrance fee included to visit the beautiful archeological complex looking over the Gulf of Corinth offering amazing vistas. We will travel south through the Thessaly region. We will arrive in DELPHI after enjoying the view of wonderful landscapes. Entrance fee included to visit the beautiful archeological complex looking over the Gulf of Corinth offering amazing vistas. TODAY´S HIGHLIGHTS: City tour in Athens. Evening transfer.
We will enjoy a panoramic tour of the city with a local guide which includes the Presidential Palace, the Panathinaikos stadium where the first modern Olympic games were held, the national library, the bustling squares of the center; the new neighborhoods that emerged after the 2004 Olympic games. The tour will end at the Acropolis site (entry not included). In the evening we include a transfer to the PLAKA quarter, a place full of small Greek taverns where you can also enjoy this country´s folklore.
