“We had an excellent experience after having a rough/long day. We originally checked in at a different hotel for the Nats game, but the AC was broken so we started walking around for a different hotel. We came upon The Thompson and immediately received excellent service from Justin. He could tell we had a rough evening. Our room was spacious, very clean and I loved the decor. The rooftop bar was very elegant and the cocktails were amazing. Next time we come to the area and we will definitely stay here from the start. Wish we could’ve enjoyed it a little longer since we only checked in around 11 pm but next time we will definitely book in advance. Thank you Justin for making our evening better !”

“Let’s start with location. In the heart of Navy Yard, short walk to the water. Easy access to a myriad of restaurants. The property is lovely. Modern and understated. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Either someone is great at training or great at hiring, or both. Did I mention dog friendly? That was the icing on the cake!”

A equipe foi ótima. Especificamente Jennifer e Lionel (recepção) e Carlos (barman na cobertura). Não sou fã de ter refrigeradores no quarto em vez de geladeiras. O bar da cobertura tinha uma atmosfera e vistas incríveis. Café da manhã do restaurante era bom. O jantar não foi tão bom, mas não ruim. Localização foi ótima. A uma curta distância do metrô e muitos restaurantes.

El personal fue excelente. Específicamente Jennifer y Lionel (recepción) y Carlos (camarero de la azotea). No soy partidario de tener enfriadores en la habitación en lugar de refrigeradores. El bar de la azotea tenía un ambiente y unas vistas impresionantes. El desayuno del restaurante era bueno. La cena no fue tan buena, aunque tampoco mala. La ubicación era genial. The staff was great. Specifically Jennifer and Lionel (front desk), and Carlos (rooftop bartender). I'm not a fan of having chillers in the room instead of refrigerators. Rooftop bar had an awesome atmosphere and views. Restaurant breakfast was good. Dinner was not as good, not bad though. Location was great. Walking distance to the metro and many restaurants.

Meu melhor amigo e eu decidimos ficar aqui para uma escapadela de melhor amigo e não decepcionou. O look ficou moderno e chique. A hospitalidade da equipe foi incrível. Eles foram além e útil isso inclui o manobrista na recepção. Eles precisam de seus arredores e tiveram ótimas sugestões. Qualquer coisa que eu pedisse eles traziam e era trazido para nós de forma rápida. A sensação era industrial e funcionou. O hotel era limpo e o telhado era uma vibração agradável e fria. O melhor amigo e eu conversamos sobre voltar e ficar lá. A única coisa é que não houve serviço de limpeza, você pode ter que pedir isso, não tenho certeza, talvez porque ficamos apenas de terça a quinta-feira. Mas foi um ótimo hotel e com certeza recomendo e voltarei.

Mi mejor amigo y yo decidimos quedarnos aquí para una escapada de mejores amigos y no me decepcionó. El look era moderno y chic. La hospitalidad del personal fue increíble. Fueron más allá y serviciales, esto incluye al servicio de aparcacoches de la recepción. Necesitan su entorno y tenían excelentes sugerencias. Todo lo que pedí lo mencionaron y nos lo trajeron de manera rápida. La sensación era industrial y funcionó. El hotel estaba limpio y la azotea era agradable y tenía un ambiente relajado. El mejor amigo y yo hablamos de volver y quedarnos allí. Lo único es que no vino el servicio de limpieza, es posible que tengas que pedir eso, no estoy seguro, tal vez porque solo nos quedamos de martes a jueves. Pero fue un gran hotel y seguro que lo recomiendo y volveré.

My best friend and I decided to stay here for best friend getaway and it did not disappoint. The look was modern and chic. The hospitality of the staff was amazing. They were beyond and helpful this includes the valet to the front desk. They need their surroundings and had great suggestions. Anything I called for they brought up and it was brought to us in fast fashion. The feel was industrial and it worked. The hotel was clean and the rooftop was nice and chill vibe. The best friend and I talked about coming back and staying there. Only thing is no housekeeping came, you may have to ask for that I’m not sure maybe cause we only stayed from Tuesday to Thursday. But it was a great hotel and I for sure recommend and I will be back.

This rating is for Brittany the rooftop bartender. She is amazing! We enjoyed every cocktail she made. She's a very skilled bartender and gave us great service. I enjoyed the bar bites menu also. The only downside was odd treatment from the manager Tom. I'd return just to have Brittany's amazing cocktails!

Um hotel fresco e elegante, muito bom para o preço. Hyatt realmente tentou introduzir um sentimento jovem e de alto design aqui. Os quartos são de tamanho adequado e funcionam bem. O bar da cobertura estava fechado quando estávamos lá e não tenho certeza de quais outras comodidades estavam disponíveis. Un hotel fresco y elegante, bastante agradable por el precio. Hyatt realmente ha tratado de introducir una sensación joven y de alto diseño aquí. A fresh and stylish hotel, quite nice for the price. Hyatt has really tried to introduce a young, high-design feeling here. Rooms are of adequate size and function well. Rooftop bar was closed when we were there and I am not sure what other amenities were available. A little under-staffed, reception often seemed to have long lines for check in and out. My star-rating is based on value for the price and general ambiance.

Localização imaculada, moderna, moderna, incrível, o custo corresponde às comodidades, alguns elementos peculiares, como um sistema de elevador estranho e realmente desnecessariamente técnico, onde você escolhe o andar antes de entrar no elevador. Eu gostaria de ter ficado mais uma noite, mas tive que voltar para casa por uma obrigação.Este hotel é LINDO! Parece ainda melhor pessoalmente. Às vezes tenho que visitar DC para trabalhar e depois de ficar no hotel Thompson, essa foi a primeira vez que pensei “eu voltaria”. O nosso quarto foi atualizado para um quarto de canto que muito espaçoso e limpo. A única reclamação que tenho, embora possa ser o “novo moderno”, é que o chuveiro não é totalmente fechado. Fiquei em um resort no verão passado com o mesmo banheiro estruturado, então pode ser que eu não esteja acostumado com o novo layout. O pequeno-almoço continental é servido todas as manhãs. O bar da cobertura é muito frio, no entanto, você precisa pegar o elevador até o lobby e depois diretamente para a cobertura. Não tive oportunidade de conhecer o restaurante mas tenho a certeza que o farei na próxima visita 😉. Há também vários restaurantes nas proximidades. Me alojé aquí por cuatro noches. Es un hotel bonito, pequeño y limpio. Las habitaciones están bien diseñadas y la ubicación era conveniente. Tienen café y pasteles de cortesía para desayunar, lo cual fue agradable. La calidad de las sábanas y las toallas podría haber sido mucho, mucho mejor. No brindan servicio de limpieza diario, por lo que debe solicitarlo el día anterior. Pedimos que limpiaran nuestra habitación tres veces, pero solo obtuvimos servicio de limpieza el primer día. No hay servicio de limpieza en el segundo día. Al tercer día nos despertaron llamando a la puerta a las 7 de la mañana, entregándonos un montón de toallas. Tampoco hubo otra forma de limpieza ese día. Me gustaron las habitaciones y la ubicación, pero no volveré por el comportamiento grosero.

Desearía haberme quedado una noche más, pero tenía que regresar a casa por una obligación.Este hotel es HERMOSO! Se ve aún mejor en persona. A veces tengo que visitar DC por trabajo y después de quedarme en el hotel Thompson, esta fue la primera vez que pensé "volvería". Nuestra habitación fue mejorada a una habitación de esquina que era muy espaciosa y limpia. La única queja que tengo, aunque podría ser la "nueva y moderna", es que la ducha no está completamente cerrada. Me alojé en un resort el verano pasado con el mismo baño estructurado, por lo que podría ser que no esté acostumbrado al nuevo diseño. Se ofrece desayuno continental por las mañanas. El bar de la azotea es muy relajado, sin embargo, debe tomar el ascensor hasta el vestíbulo y luego directamente a la azotea. Immaculate, modern, trendy, incredible location, cost matches the amenities , a few quirky elements such as a weird and a really unnecessarily techie elevator system where you pick the floor before entering the lift. In addition, The rooms have an odd wall panel system / button for flushing the toilet. The Denver CO Thompson requires your room key to turn on the lights but I was happy to see this property in DC still uses the trusty dusty on/off toggle

Stayed here for four nights. It's a nice, small, clean hotel. The rooms are well designed and the location was convenient. They have complimentary coffee and pastries to grab for breakfast, which was nice. The quality of the sheets and towels could have been much, much better. They don't provide daily housekeeping so you have to request for it the day before. We asked for having our room cleaned three times, but only got housekeeping on day one. No housekeeping on the second day. On the third day, they woke us up by knocking at the door at 7 am, handing us a bunch of towels. There was no other form of housekeeping on that day either. I liked the rooms and the location, but I will not be going back because of the rude behavior.

Initially my mom and I stayed at the Thompson Hotel as a quick weekend getaway for my birthday, but it was a vacation for my mom as it was her first getaway since before the pandemic and her first time visiting DC. She lived her best life! First off, I would like to thank the staff for being so gracious, kind and attentive during our stay. I was allowed a late checkout for which I greatly appreciated. Our train home was scheduled later in the afternoon and after walking 20k steps yesterday making memories, I knew it’d be best that we sleep in. I wish I could’ve stayed an extra night but I had to return home for an obligation. This hotel is BEAUTIFUL! It looks even better in person. I sometimes have to visit DC for work and after staying at the Thompson hotel, this was the first time I thought “I’d come back.” Our room was upgraded to a corner room which very spacious and clean. The only complaint I have, although it could be the “new modern,” is that the shower is not fully enclosed. I’ve stayed at a resort last summer with the same structured bathroom, so it could be that I’m not used to the new layout. Continental breakfast is offered in the mornings. The rooftop bar is very chill, however you have to take the elevator down to the lobby and then directly to the rooftop. I didn’t get a chance to experience the restaurant but I’m sure I’ll do that my next visit 😉. There’s also multiple restaurants nearby. The metro is less than a 10min walk away and it runs every 20min. (I work/commute in NY so for those that understand, in case you miss your train by 1min… just pause and be patient lol). This hotel is also dog friendly and is near a dog park. I have a dog-phew now, so I might bring him during my next stay.

Me alojé en la suite junior de Thompson Washington D.C. por un par de noches durante el fin de semana largo hace una semana. Todo el personal fue amable, especialmente gracias a Joseph en la recepción, quien me dio una cálida bienvenida y me explicó todos los beneficios que podía obtener y las comodidades disponibles en el hotel.El hotel está en una ubicación muy segura, The Yards, y le encantará el vecindario. I stayed at the junior suite of Thompson Washington D.C. for a couple nights during the long weekend a week ago. All the staffs were kind, especially thanks Joseph at the front desk who gave me warm welcome with explaining all benefits I could get and amenities available in the hotel.Hotel is at a very secure location, The Yards, and you will love the neighborhood. There are many restaurants with reasonable prices and fancy interiors.Room condition was really great and the view of the corner room makes the room more spacious. I also loved the robe at Thompson. Weekend brunch at the restaurant Mare on the first floor was really amazing. The crab meatball pasta and the steak were really tasty.You should definitely visit Thompson D.C. and most importantly the hotel is underpriced. I am already planning to visit again :)

Mi hotel favorito en D.C. El Thompson está ubicado en Navy Yards y es un paraíso para los caminantes. Tanto Nationals Park como Audi Field están a un paseo panorámico por Yards Park. Las habitaciones del hotel son preciosas y las habitaciones con balcón ofrecen fantásticas vistas a la ciudad. El personal es atento y amable. NO se sentirá decepcionado al elegir la Thompson. My favorite hotel in D.C. The Thompson is located in the Navy Yards and is a walkers paradise. Both Nationals Park and Audi Field are a scenic stroll away through Yards Park. The hotel rooms are lovely and balcony rooms gives great city views. The staff is attentive and friendly. You will NOT be disappointed choosing the Thompson. I can't wait to be back.

10 estrelas pelo incrível atendimento ao cliente! Jason, Joe, Mike e o serviço de manobrista foram todos muito simpáticos, profissionais e acolhedores. Tivemos uma experiência excelente depois de um dia difícil / longo. Originalmente, nos hospedamos em um hotel diferente para o jogo do Nats, mas o ar-condicionado estava quebrado, então começamos a caminhar para um hotel diferente. Encontramos The Thompson e imediatamente recebemos um excelente serviço de Justin. Ele poderia dizer que tivemos uma noite difícil. O nosso quarto era espaçoso, muito limpo e adorei a decoração. O bar da cobertura era muito elegante e os coquetéis eram surpreendentes. Na próxima vez que viermos para a área e certamente ficaremos aqui desde o início. Que experiência incrível !! Ficamos aqui com nossos cães por duas noites. Não há taxa para animais de estimação e a equipe faz o possível para tornar sua estadia mais especial. Os quartos são muito limpos e imaculados. A localização é excelente, uma vez que está perto de muitos bares e restaurantes agradáveis. Obrigado Mike por ser amigável, gentil e atencioso. Tomó 1 estrella porque no había cafetera en la habitación. Pero ofrecen café y pasteles en el vestíbulo. Simplemente me gusta la taza de café recién hecho. De todos modos tuve una gran experiencia. Y la vista de la azotea es impresionante.

Tuvimos una excelente experiencia después de un día duro / largo. Originalmente nos registramos en un hotel diferente para el juego de los Nats, pero el aire acondicionado estaba roto, así que comenzamos a caminar hacia un hotel diferente. Nos encontramos con The Thompson e inmediatamente recibimos un excelente servicio de Justin. Se dio cuenta de que tuvimos una noche difícil. Nuestra habitación era espaciosa, muy limpia y me encantó la decoración. El bar de la azotea era muy elegante y los cócteles eran increíbles. La próxima vez que vengamos a la zona y definitivamente nos quedaremos aquí desde el principio. Ojalá hubiéramos podido disfrutarlo un poco más, ya que solo nos registramos alrededor de las 11 pm, pero la próxima vez definitivamente reservaremos con anticipación. ¡Gracias Justin por hacer que nuestra noche fuera mejor!

Empecemos por la ubicación. En el corazón de Navy Yard, caminata corta hasta el agua. Fácil acceso a una gran variedad de restaurantes. La propiedad es preciosa. Moderno y sobrio. El personal era siempre amable y servicial. O alguien es excelente en la capacitación o excelente en la contratación, o ambos. ¿Mencioné que se admiten perros? ¡Esa fue la guinda del pastel!

¡¡Qué experiencia tan increíble !! Nos alojamos aquí con nuestros perros por dos noches. No se cobra tarifa por mascota y el personal hace todo lo posible para que su estadía sea más especial. Las habitaciones están muy limpias y están impecables. La ubicación es excelente ya que está cerca de muchos bares y restaurantes agradables. Gracias Mike por ser amable, amable y servicial. Sin duda me alojaré aquí de nuevo la próxima vez que vayamos a la ciudad.

10 stars for the amazing customer service! Jason, Joe, Mike, & the valet service were all very friendly, professional & accommodating. The rooms were very clean & the location of the hotel is great, with plenty of restaurants &the metro all within walking distance. I will definitely book at The Thompson on my next trip to Washington, DC.

Took 1 star off because there was no coffee maker in the room. But they provide coffee and some pastries in the lobby. I just like freshly brewed cup of coffee. Anyway I had great experience. And the rooftop view is breathtaking.

We had an excellent experience after having a rough/long day. We originally checked in at a different hotel for the Nats game, but the AC was broken so we started walking around for a different hotel. We came upon The Thompson and immediately received excellent service from Justin. He could tell we had a rough evening. Our room was spacious, very clean and I loved the decor. The rooftop bar was very elegant and the cocktails were amazing. Next time we come to the area and we will definitely stay here from the start. Wish we could’ve enjoyed it a little longer since we only checked in around 11 pm but next time we will definitely book in advance. Thank you Justin for making our evening better !

Let’s start with location. In the heart of Navy Yard, short walk to the water. Easy access to a myriad of restaurants. The property is lovely. Modern and understated. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Either someone is great at training or great at hiring, or both. Did I mention dog friendly? That was the icing on the cake!

What an amazing experience!! We stayed here with our dogs for two nights. No pet fee and staff go out of their way to make your stay more special. Rooms are very clean and spotless. Location is great since it is close to a lot of nice bars and restaurants. Thank you Mike for being friendly, kind and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again next time we come to town.
