Not the best, but not the worst, either. I don't ask for much. I just need a bed, a toilet, and a fridge. The room I had was small, but, I don't need a giant room, anyway. Came into town for an event at the Vic. I didn't bring much. In fact, first time in a long time I've brought just a backpack's worth if stuff. Liked the location for its proximity to walking anywhere and being in the midst of a lot of shops and restaurants. Parking was across from the Vic, so, that was fine. Was a little surprised to have snacks on the dresser and a stocked mini fridge, as I usually bring my own drinks and was expecting to put my own stuff and food in the fridge. So... that was something that subtracted from the trip a touch. I was able to walk to and from a favourite pizza establishment in 10 minutes to enjoy it in my room. So, that was a definite plus. It does seem like the people that come to this hotel are noisy. But I come prepared with earplugs, an under-pillow bed shaker alarm hooked up to my phone's bluetooth, so, that wasn't THAT much of an issue. I didn't hear them and could get sound sleep. I wouldn't mind staying here again, since it IS close to a lot of great places to visit. But maybe they should enforce a silence rule. (you would think people would understand that a hotel is supposed to be a place to get some sleep... not a place to make a racket!) But anyway...aside of all of that, I actually had a pleasant stay and it was nice to know that my car was parked in a nearby garage that was safe and nothing was going to happen to it...and I didn't have to drive anywhere, which saved me time and money.

Not worth the price. The hotel was clean but it was very old and did not look like any updates have been made to the building besides paint. It wasn't the worst place I've stayed at but I'm not sure I would go back.

It's ok. No parking available, so we had to drive about .3 miles down the road and park at a parking garage that is owned by a separate company. Hotel was clean, but very out dated, and it looked like the only thing they had done to update it was add more paint and a few modern paintings and art pieces on the walls. The bed was soft but the pillows were pretty firm for down pillows. Lots of mirror space in the bathroom but the toilet was in the center of the mirror so made it a little awkward when two people tried to get ready at once. The corner room we stayed in was very loud, and we could constantly hear the elevator going up and down. Overall, the hotel itself wasn't terrible, but paying over almost $200 for a single night left us disappointed.

Nós reservamos 2 noites aqui e a primeira noite ficamos no 3º andar e o andar acima de nós era tão estridente e barulhento que quase não dormimos. Na segunda noite, pedimos para nos mudarmos para o quarto andar para que ninguém ficasse acima de nós e, com sorte, poderíamos dormir, mas os ruídos dos outros hóspedes e do prédio antigo ainda nos mantiveram acordados.Traga tampões de ouvido se você vai ficar aqui!

No recomiendo alojarse en este hotel. La ubicación es agradable y las habitaciones están bastante limpias, ¡pero es tan ruidoso! Reservamos 2 noches aquí y la primera noche nos alojamos en el 3er piso y el piso de arriba era tan ruidoso y ruidoso que apenas dormimos. La segunda noche, pedimos que nos cambiaran al cuarto piso para que no haya nadie encima de nosotros y con suerte podamos dormir, pero los ruidos de otros huéspedes y el edificio antiguo aún nos mantenían despiertos.¡Trae tapones para los oídos si te vas a quedar aquí!

I do not recommend staying at this hotel. The location is nice and the rooms are decently clean, but it is so loud! We booked 2 nights here and the first night we stayed on the 3rd floor and the floor above us was so squeaky and loud that we hardly slept. The second night, we asked to move to the fourth floor so no one is above us and hopefully we can sleep, but the noises from other guests and the old building still kept us up. Bring earplugs if you are going to stay here!

Este hotel tinha tudo o que precisávamos a um preço justo. Os quartos são espaçosos (quem reclama do tamanho do quarto ainda não visitou Nova York). Reservamos uma suíte com 2 camas. Nosso quarto tinha uma TV na sala de estar e outra no quarto. O frigobar estava bem abastecido e eles têm ótimos preços para tudo, desde lanches a uma garrafa de vinho. Sério, esta é a primeira vez que não acho que o minibar seja um roubo. Além do frigobar, tínhamos um frigobar. O banheiro tinha toalhas suficientes e roupões de banho. O cheiro dos produtos de higiene me lembrou de loção para os pés, então você pode trazer o seu próprio. Nossa cama era feita todos os dias, ao contrário de alguns hotéis mais sofisticados que usam a cobiça como desculpa para economizar no salário de arrumação e cobrar o mesmo. A localização é excelente, ao lado da Estação Belmont da linha vermelha; não tivemos problemas para chegar aos museus e caminhada do rio. Recomendamos caminhar até a Maison Parisienne nas proximidades para um ótimo café da manhã com baguetes incríveis e café.

Foi incrível o quarto é absolutamente lindo, a recepção foi muito agradável e o Sunday Shop Ice-cream Parlor ao lado é absolutamente perfeito. E eu simplesmente amei que o Subway estava bem ali. Foi a minha primeira vez em casa em 13 anos e a primeira vez do meu marido em Chicago! Definitivamente voltarei para ficar aqui novamente e definitivamente não será mais 13 anos antes de voltar para casa!

This hotel had everything we needed at a fair price. Rooms are spacious (whomever complains about room size, has yet to visit NYC). We booked a suite with 2 beds. Our room had a TV in the living room, and another one in the bedroom. The minibar was well stocked and they have great prices for everything from snacks to a bottle of wine. Seriously, this is the first time I don't feel the minibar is a rip off. Besides the minibar, we had a mini fridge. The bathroom had sufficient towels, and we had bathrobes. The smell of the toiletries reminded me of feet lotion, so you may want to bring your own. Our bed was made everday, unlike some fancier hotels that are using covid as an excuse to save on housekeeping salaries while charging the same. Location is great, right next to Belmont Station of the red line; we had no trouble getting to the museums and river walk. We recommend walking to Maison Parisienne nearby for a great breakfast with amazing baguettes and coffee.

It's between two and three stars, but I'm going with three because the most important needs are met.Here's what you need to know: + It's clean. - It is NOT quiet.Sound isolation with the hall is acceptable, but the floor above you will creak and groan whenever someone moves.I know my upstairs neighbors arrived at about 2:00 AM, slept okay (bed sounds move through the floor) and woke up around 9:30 AM. - Parking is via the theater parking lot a block away and it will cost you about $50/night.With those out of the way, here are some other details: + There's no light leakage and no always-on appliances that will shine light when you're trying to sleep. - The bathroom light is motion controlled and on a very short timer.If you have to get up and use the bathroom in the middle of the night, be prepared for a flash-bulb going off, blinding you and waking you up, only for it to deactivate after sitting on the toilet for 20 seconds.Lastly, a comment on aesthetics, which are interesting.It's like graduate student housing hooked up with an art museum and they had a baby that watched a lot of noir and Magnum PI.It's a neat vibe, though I can see it not being for everyone.

It was amazing the room's are absolutely beautiful the front desk was very nice and the Sunday Shop Ice-cream Parlor next door is absolutely perfect. And I absolutely loved that the Subway was right there. It was my first time being home in 13 year's and my husband's 1st time in Chicago! Definitely will be returning to stay here again and it definitely won't be another 13 year's before coming home!

Hotel is in a convenient location and a quick walk to Wrigley Field.Hotel was clean and staff was friendly.Squeaky floors and I could hear the guests above me walking around but I guess that is to be expected in an old building. I was disappointed in the way parking is handled.The hotel only has a limited # of discounted parking tags that allow you to park in the garage.We even had a hard time getting out of the garage because the credit card reader wouldn't work.Had to pay the full daily rate of $40.We were also charged for a bottle of water that we did not take from the room. I had to call the hotel to inquire what this charge was for and to request it to be refunded.These seem to be common complaints after reading other reviews.
