“Fancy hotel. I was lucky that they gave me a higher tier room, so my experience was just as if I were Kevin Macallister from Home Alone 2. There was delicious Nepali food just two short blocks away.”
— Sebastian Schuth Hurtado
“The hotel was very well located for a quick stay to catch a connecting flight. But note that this isn't a hotel I would pick if I was going to do touristy things in downtown, it is about 35 to 40 mins from everything that there is to see in Madrid, the area is very safe to walk around and the hotel was very quiet at night. They had our rooms ready, and met our request for two connecting rooms, although some people would see their decor as dated, to me it was a very good representation of Madrid (dark woods, mirrors everywhere) but they are keeping up with maintaining the place, rooms are large and the beds, bedding and pillows are really comfortable. Bathrooms are well equipped and clean.
The facilities are great and the food is really good, the included breakfast was excellent and the spaces are very clean. Although we didn't get to use the pool due to our short stay it looked clean and well maintained, and it was large which is not the norm around Madrid. The wifi worked well for streaming movies for the kids and doing work. We ordered room service and it arrived quickly and the service was very cordial.
Shuttle service was very quick and the vehicle was well maintained. Easy check-in and check-out.
Although the staff was amazingly accommodating and polite, we had to come down stairs and make our room service order in person because they seemed to not have enough staff for the hotel to accommodate other really large groups staying (the food arrived a bit on the colder side) and found the phone system lacking overall our phones had no info and when we figured out which number to dial, we couldn't really reach out to anyone, it always went to a full voicemail which was a bit strange.
Overall it was a great experience, just little details that seemed to be on par with the current climate around staffing shortages. Would definitely stay there again if if we have to do another long layover.”
