“Cancelled our room less than a month out for our trip on one of the busiest weekends in Charleston. I booked months ago at a great rate. Now we have no lodgings and all the prices are double and triple what we were paying. I suspect they did this to re-book the room at a much more expensive rate than what we were set to pay. They did not try to accommodate us in any other way. Very unfortunate situation”

“My daughter is getting married in Charleston in 2 weeks; I have a block of rooms reserved for my out of town guests at The Church Street Inn for that weekend. I called the hotel today to confirm the number of guests booked only to find out the hotel is closed due to 'unforeseen circumstance' (damages from Hurricane Ian). I did not receive any notification from the hotel regarding the hotel closure; had I not called today, I, along with my wedding guests, would have arrived in Charleston to find out the hotel is closed and no rooms available. The hotel is extremely mismanaged; no communication with upcoming guests regarding hotel closure is inexcuseable.”
