“Spent 5 days here for a wedding, and I don't think I'll ever experience this nice of a resort again. Our balcony had a bathtub made out of volcanic rock, and we sat in it and watched a monkey eat fruit off of the trees.
The food was incredible. Pools were gorgeous and varied from partyish to quiet. There is a lot for kids to do too.”

Our stay at Hotel Xcaret México was everything all inclusive should be! We were able to relax, adventure, and reset. It was the perfect vacation. The hotel is 100% clean, safe, and responsive. We were treated so kindly by all of the staff. We hope to be back again!!!

Hotel Xcaret was AMAZING! From the time we walked up, we were treated so awesome. The rooms were beautiful and even our room, which faced the main entrance, had a great view. The pools are absolutely wonderful and the food was amazing! We only stayed one night, so we didn't get to see everything, but I have never been in a place where I've felt so comfortable. My fiance and I will have our wedding there and we will go back for many years to come. I highly recommend!!!

The first part of this review was from when we first went and it was amazing. Since we became members, it's been anything but amazing. We decided to have our wedding there and it was forever to just get the paperwork and let me give them my money. I had to contact them multiple times to have anybody contact me to make my payment. Then, when you make an electronic payment, you have to send them a copy of the receipt so they knew I had paid....makes no sense. In addition, I've been trying since April to get my 30-something family and friends booked so they could have a room, as they're coming in from around the US. This has been even more of a nightmare. I have had to contact them multiple times since around August to try and get them booked. The communication is horrible! I was told that the system was down but the rooms would be available. I sent my guest list and still not even half of them are booked. Now I'm being told that all of the rooms are booked and the rest of my guests will have to be at Hotel Arte. Mind you, I gave them my guest list in August to try to start this process. I have paid them thousands of dollars between my membership, wedding, 3 rooms for myself and my kids, and my family and friends are paying thousands of dollars for this too. For this reason, I do NOT recommend anyone become members or try to have a wedding here. I am only hoping that the wedding itself won't be such a hassle. When we were there, it was phenomenal and beautiful. We loved it, but since we've been home and trying to get this wedding planned, it has been a nightmare. If we hadn't already invested so much money, we'd be going to a Sandals or some other resort at a different destination. I am so disappointed in the way this has all gone down. To this date, I still don't even have half of my guests booked and it's 5 months later.....I am generally a pretty easy person to get along with and do not complain. I have written multiple emails to them letting them know how unacceptable this has been and that is not in my nature at all. If I am this frustrated, someone else who doesn't have as much patience would go insane! Stay far away from this place if you're wanting ease of booking and good communication from anyone.

Will definitely go back. It is unbelievable how much Xcaret Mexico provides to their guests with food options and other services. Plus all of the other Xcaret parks you have access too with your package that they provide transportation to and from! You need two weeks just to get it all in. Worth every penny and more! The employees were wonderful!

This is the most beautiful resort I’ve been to in all my time on planet Earth. Absolutely amazing views, rooms, service, food, and drinks. This is a true five star resort. Make sure and go to the park and see the show. It costs extra for the show plus dinner but just do it. You will be amazed!

Absolutely amazing resort. I have never been treated better than I have at this place. Extremely good food, lovely pools, amazing wait staff. We had Oliver as a server at the Japanese restaurant and he was absolutely amazing! We ordered a few things off the menu that we knew we'd like and he gave other suggestions and even brought things out during the meal that he thought we'd like. The food was absolutely delicious and the restaurant was lovely. We ate lunch at Los Playas one day and it was ridiculously busy but our server Rogelio made sure we were well taken care of and was an excellent server. The food, as always was delicious! Overall it was the best resort I have yet to visit.

We had a great time at this hotel, really good food, service and friendly staff, however, the misinformation of the employees is far too much. It feels as if they need to go through intensive training for a few months. You could ask 10 workers a question and get 10 wrong answers. Something as simple as to how to get to the rooftop pool, they will send you away. Or they wouldn't know the restaurant by the pool is a buffet in the morning. We were also charged over $1,000 USD extra and still struggling to get the refund. I contacted the photo department to get our photos and still waiting for their reply.

I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. To be clear,we visited but did not stay here.We did not visit the parks. We were on a vacation club tour that lasted about 6 hours. So we saw much of the resort. The tour took that long because we were sincerely interested in the resort. It really is an amazing place with caves, and restaurants in caves, canals, rooms with diving platforms to the canals,a church, beaches, many many pools, quality restaurants, and so much more. Our guide, Ricardo, was fantastic. I highly recommend asking for him if you tour the Club.

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ .ᴄᴏᴍ when booking any place. They compare countless booking web sites and usually will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of my favorites in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you choose this place you won't be let down.Excellent food, excellent service from every employee. Hotel is kept extremely clean. A very accommodating experience from all the hotel staff from the moment we are picked up from the airport to the time we left.. Never felt an experience like it from any vacation or hotel experience.

The resort was amazing! The grounds are impeccable and kept immaculate. There is more than enough staff to keep you feeling as if your every need will be met. The resort is so big that we didn't even get to see it all! Plus they own and operate several water/ natural parks which they include with the price of your stay! The only thing we could complain about is there lack of time to get to everything we wanted to. It'll take at least 2-3 trips here before you can even say you did everything. Food from room service could've been a tad better, but when you're cooking 24/7 for 900 rooms a few things may not always hit 5 stars. Didn't care though, cause I could just order something else free! 10/10 WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK

I would like to start by saying this has been the best experience vacation that I have ever experienced with my family. As soon as you get off the bus you are greeted with a towel a gift and amazing service our check-in was about 7 PM by the time we got to the hotel. It was smooth we took our bags to the hotel room by the time we got checked in our bags were already in our room. The Concierge met us and told us all of the events and asked us what we would want to do for our time there and then introduced us to an amazing person by the name of Michell he was amazing absolutely from the beginning treated us like family like if we were coming home to visit him it was just amazing. He checked on us through out our stay there to make sure all was good. And then we were assigned a concierge by the name of Victoria and she set up Everything for us while at the hotel transportation and all of our reservations for the spa for the part for our airline home printed our tickets and our results. Every single person that we meet treated us like family and It didn’t matter if we were at the pool in a restaurant the park in the lobby in the spa in our hotel room every single person was happy to be there and happy to serve and give any assistance. This place is so organized and so Covid friendly it was just amazing. Each restaurant has amazing food I just can’t say enough about this place I recommend it to anyone if you can go seven days minimum enjoy your time enjoyed being served waited on and just treated like family with lots of ❤️ love. We will be returning often thank you Xcaret Family for the Amazing memories!

Hotel Xcaret was absolutely amazing, the ocean view, the staff and food. This was one of the best birthday trips especially coming out of quarantine, I only wish I had more time to spend at enjoy all of the many attractions they offer. I will definitely be back and will tell everyone that this hotel is a must.Thank you so much for the hospitality and everyone who made my stay enjoyable ❤

We arrived at the hotel about 11 am on a Friday. It was absolute chaos to say the least. They throw you in four different lines and have you deal with several staff within the first fifteen minutes of your arrival. Keep in mind we had been flying for about 9 hours so we’re tired and hungry and just want to sit down. The front desk girl was in training and was not friendly. I tried to offer her $20 to try and get the room expedited and she straight up said no. I’ve worked in hotels on the Las Vegas strip and to not even ATTEMPT to help the guest out was a bit concerning. We did wait until 3 pm to get the room which is normal but it would’ve been nice to see if they could check if another room was ready during those couple hours. But when we would go check the status of the room During that waiting period they would only tell you to come back at three they wouldn’t even look at the computer. The food at the Mercado was always really good. The food at the Asian restaurant was not good at all. They will not let you rent paddle boards if it is breezy outside. The room itself was really nice and clean but the first day of arrival the staff called and asked us when we want the room serviced and I made it very clear we didn’t want anyone in the room. They came into the room daily and changed the sheets even though we asked them not to. I thought it was really nice they did our covid test at the hotel for free (it’s needed to enter back into USA). I feel like it’s important to verbalize every part of the resort as this isn’t a cheap stay at all and unfortunately the resort is not all it’s cracked up to be.The surrounding water parks next to the hotel are really really fun and I highly recommend swimming with the manatees. It was an awesome experience.

Amazing! Can't wait to return! Booked this resort for a great rate at ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ I like this hotel and I'm really thankful I stayed at my favorite hotel for much less than what I usually pay.
best food and service you can get, amazing experience, only bad thing i booked through booking.com and pay for the king bed ocean front but they give me double beds. And the ocean views is not really ocean views.. other them that is was great every thing

When we first arrived at the hotel everything looked perfect and beautiful!!! Checking in was overwhelming you have 6 different people coming up to you telling you what to do and handing you random things. Which was nice but too much as the moment.. We were so excited to be staying here... when we received our room key we expected to be near our friends and family’s rooms considering we booked this a year in advance for a wedding... which we were all spread out all over the hotel. When arriving to our room the view was beautiful but there was trash under the bed not a huge deal so I picked it up and threw it out... we met up with our group for dinner when we got they’re they told us they had to split us up on opposite sides of the restaurant due to Covid restrictions of course not what we wanted but we said OK and what about going to our seats they then set us down right next to another table of six within five minutes the table next to us had finished and got up to leave so I question the guy and said I don’t understand why you couldn’t just have us wait for that table to leave and than have our group be able to sit near each other we would’ve been more than happy to wait so that we could all sit together he then went and got them and brought them over to the table next to us after that we were completely fine and content and happy and enjoying our time then the original guy that told me that they had to seat us apart came over and started “Trying to explain why he was sat them across the other room” I told him I understood why he sat them across the other room but I don’t understand is how they set us right next to another table but couldn’t just wait for that table to leave and then sit our party together... he got to the point where I didn’t understand why he was still coming up to me and still going on and on when we were already seated already had our food and we were happy then I had to ask him several times to leave me alone... The beds were uncomfortable to sleep on we barely got any sleep our entire trip we go to the parks the parks for a beautiful absolutely gorgeous but everything was completely overpriced we paid $350 extra for two extra activities that didn’t even equal out to an hour of our time they scheduled our swimming with the dolphin event 30 minutes from when we left their booth not knowing it was going to take an hour to get through the river but that’s something they should’ve known about how long it takes to get through the river. Are planner told us that we could make reservations while we were there 24 hours in advance for dinners or shows but the first night we got there we call to make reservations and everything was booked the rest of the week they were also supposed to plan a dinner and a show for the bride‘s going away dinner and they didn’t do that so they planned it for a place that didn’t even need a reservation... FOR A WEDDING!!!! We sat down at the place that they reserved for the wedding they didn’t even need a reservation they had a whole reservations spread out throughout the restaurant so we got mad and left. We went to a different restaurant that we thought was going to be better in our last night at the hotel and we wake up the next morning and a few of us stomach‘s we’re upset. We left this past Sunday it’s now Tuesday and I am still in bed sick and unable to work to what feels like food poisoning I’m constantly running to the bathroom. We also spent $150 on photos from the parks and the website that they gave us doesn’t even work and I can’t get a hold of anybody to figure out how I get my photos as you can see this trip was not what was expected and we are not happy we spent way too much money to be there and to enjoy our stay and I would not recommend this place to anyone nor will I return to this hotel next time we go to Mexico we will be staying at a different resort save yourself the trouble of Mexico is beautiful and there are many beautiful resorts don’t go to this one

Words cannot describe the unique and awesome experience that this hotel offers with their all inclusive. We have been going since the hotel opened and we always enjoy it have fun and enjoy it to the max!It is the best choice you can make when you want to explore all the parks that Xcaret Group offers (Xcaret, Xelha, Xplor, Xenses, Xenotes, Xoximilco, etc) since everything is included from beginning to end! Transporting to and from the hotel to the airport, transportation to and from all parks, restaurants at the hotel and parks, it is a pretty awesome experience. The hotel is gorgeous and it smells divine! From the lobby to the rooms, there is that unique smell that let's you know you are vacationing in paradise. The staff is attentive, nice, accommodating, respectful and willing to make your stay a bliss!Food at the restaurants is one of the best I have had and the buffet has food to accommodate everyone. There are mini food carts during lunch time if you want to grab a quick snack like - street corn, hamburger, ice cream, marquesita or fruit.Las Playas (Mediterranean/seafood) and XinGao (Asian fusion/sushi) are our favorite restaurants for dinner. If you get the chance to experience their Sunday brunch (yes it is extra but so worth it) do so.You can paddleboard, kayak, go to the gym, walk around or just chill inside their man made rivers. There is a beach but not very big, since the hotel was made to preserve nature as much as possible, hence the rivers where you get to chill 'inside.'You won't regret it and you will not only get to enjoy, rest and relax, but you will appreciate and learn about Mexican culture, which is what the owner takes pride on and wishes to share with everyone.Have fun!

An incredible place to spend a long weekend or a week. The all fun inclusive concept allows you access to any/all parks and tours included in the price of your stay. The resort itself is incredible with lots to do, and the staff makes you feel like a VIP!

Love love love this hotel. My only advice would be to not go to the membership sign up.It's a complete waste of time they will try to sell you a vacation package that is not worth it. Also stay 5 days minimum. The place is huge. Also they should create a phone map app so you can GPS back to your room. You can easily get lost for your 1st 2 days. They should also put the park information and commercials I the room to give you an idea what parks you may or may not want to go to.

Beautiful resort! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel offers free COVID19 tests on site for patrons requiring negative test results for entry back into the states!Everything I tasted was perfectly cooked at both restaurants that required reservations and those that accepted walk-ins. The resort offered transportation to the many parks included in the all-inclusive package. I would highly recommend family and friends to stay at this lovely resort. They make you feel safe and at home while adhering to all COVID19 precautions.

By far my favorite hotel in the Riviera Maya. The service is outstanding. The staff is very friendly and at your service. They treat you like family. The drinks are outstanding and the food is to die for. They have a good variety of restaurants but please keep in mind some require reservations and you need to do this before your arrival to reserve a time slot. Also keep in mind this is an authentic resort. You will not find fries at every restaurant! They pride in the Mayan culture and offer a variety of traditional and authentic Mexican cuisine. ALSO KEEP IN MIND WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC AND MASK ARE REQUIRED ALL OVER THE RESORT, SO PLEASE DON'T BE RUDE TO THE STAFF WHEN THEY ASK YOU TO PUT ON YOUR MASK! They are only doing their job. Also remember this resorts includes about 12 different tours with zero additional cost! It is definitely a must see!

I'm not sure I can do this place justice. This is our first time in an all inclusive resort, and it is hard to imagine a place that would outdo our experience here. The top selling point is included entrance to the parks and tours for me. The Xenotes was really an enjoyable experience. Ask for Noah to be your guide. Honestly probably the best tour I've ever been on and near one of my all time favorite life experiences. All the other parks are also fantastic and I'd recommend seeing them all if you have the time.On top of all the things you can do there, the place is absolutely gorgeous and the rooms are extremely comfortable. The layout of the hotel was well thought out and it doesn't seem far to anything no matter where your room is.There is plenty to do just swimming in various pools and seeing just how much you can eat and drink at all the bars and restaurants. They have great access to their beaches and have a nice little river with a small water slide going through the hotel. We got a good deal on the rooms through a third party site, so you could check that out. I'd recommend anyone staying here and this has been an amazing experience.

Heaven on Earth, I love everything about the hotel, The food is fresh and you could taste every ingredient, the customer service and friendliness of the staff , The Environment is clean and breathe of fresh air. I love that they have incorporated Corona Virus safety guidelines into everything, checking of temperatures before entering any facilities, free hand sanitizer everywhere. A lot of fun activities for everyone(family, friends, business and solo retreat as well) I would love to go back soon. second time and we still don't have enough of the place. one WORD for it Beautiful.

From the second we stepped onto the bus from the airport to the time we stepped off, seven days later, we were so very impressed. The friendly customer service from every staff worker was amazing. The food was by far some of the best resort, breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts we have ever had. We have 1 child who will try anything and another child that won't eat anything but ramen noodles. We were able to find some foods she liked and everytime we went to a different restaurant where he did was not at, they would go out of their way to go and get her, her "special" food. The amenities and views were just as amazing. We would recommend to anyone to come to xcaret!

Hotel is amazing and massive. Public areas were sparkling clean. They operated at 60% capacity when I stayed there. Better food quality than most of all inclusive hotels I have stayed. Very attentive staff. We had a problem with our room when first checked in. Carlos Ramirez took care of us and handled the situation very professionally.

Infelizmente o atendimento prévio a estadia é pessimo.

We love this hotel so much. It's an all inclusive resorts/ hotel. It's beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, and wonderful. The place is beautiful. The foods are delicious and the drinks are wonderful. The waiters are very helpful and attentive and the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The staffs are bilingual which is very helpful for English speakers. The hotel is very pricey and but it's worth every penny. We highly recommend the hotel and we definitely recommend it.

5/5 mainly because of the STAFF! Housecleaning, hosts, restaurants servers hotel concierge EVERYONE was great! They were courteous and so welcoming. You can tell they work extra hard and long to ensure your visits are 5 star visits. The hotel was clean, they enforced masks and hand sanitizing throughout the restaurants and even beaches. The parks were so fun.
The only thing I would suggest was maybe more night life activities, otherwise everything else was just perfect. Great food great everything. Needed a break for a while and I am so happy my sister chose this resort!

Hotel is amazing, food amazing, plan for several days if you're all inclusive and want to see all the parks which are included in the package. It's almost like a Disney land there's tons of activities and you'll never need nor have any reason to leave the resort.
You're probably wondering why the 3 stars. Well after paying for early check-in we arrived at 10am and our room wasn't ready, no big deal so we decided to go see Tolum. We get back at 1:30pm room still not ready, they told us 2pm. We go eat our food and have a drink (not to mention we do not have any of our luggage because they took it before we found out our room wasn't ready), Come back at 2:15pm room still not ready, their excuse? Check-in isn't until 3:00pm even though we did a early check-in request, and check out is 11am. No problems I'm not hard to get along with, we come back at 3:15 pm room still not ready, finally I complain and show my frustration, only for the manager to say it's my fault because we got to nice of a room (WHAT THE HELL?) . The manager then offers me a room that isn't as nice as the one I paid for right then. I said no I want the room that I purchased and did a early reservation on. He said give me 10 minutes he would promise to get me in my room. Well here I sit typing this out an hour later still waiting on my room,
Update: after going to our room and waiting on the hotel employee to find my luggage that has supposedly been misplaced we discover this isn't the suite we paid for...I give up. Here's to liquor drinks and wasting half my vacation day fooling with this hotel....
Oh and is you are wondering we got into our rooms at 4:56 pm ...Entire day is gone

I absolutely positively loved this place!! It is worth EVERY penny!!I am at a loss for words and speechlese to write a detailed description because everything was fantastic, views, food, room, pools, beach, service, staff, and adventure parks. OMG!! I think I found heaven on Earth!! You have to visit this place yourself to have an incredible 5-star service experience. The adventure parks are awesome and I was always torn as to do I leave the resort and go to the parks or do I just stay and enjoy the resort.I will be back here at least once a year if not more. As I am writing this review I am in Cancun and I feel underwhelmed after staying at Hotel Xcaret. All the tourism people are heavily advertising the Xcaret parks so I might as we stay there next time and skip the middle man.

So the place is lovely and has a lot to take in. The many beach areas and swimming pools are just dreamy. My vacation included inclusive everything which is great to just enjoy and tip as needed. The overall service is over the top and there is always top notch customer service around the clock. Some restaurants you need to reserve for but if not you can just go eat at the others if you don't get a reservation.Pictures you take with your camera or just use the watch like bracelet to snap pictures from the many spots they have located everywhere. Picture packages amount you pay depend on how many parks you go to.I went to 4 parks and had a blast. A lot of walking to be honest from spot to spot but there is a lot in between each attraction. The party boat is the cream Dela cream but you need reservation. Try to get it reserved cause stand by just doesn't work.Overall, I'll be back but I think you need 3 days on ground. I did 4 1/2 days there and I took in everything from free drinks, food and great customer service. Just hate I didn't make party boat. Fam enjoyed and yeah it's pricey but you get every drop back while you are there.

Our family has been really looking forward to visiting Xcaret however we have really struggled to get guidance on how we can move our reservation to a later date when it will be safer to travel. The hotel has been telling us to contact Expedia, we spent hours on the phone with them this week and last trying to figure out this basic request but according to Expedia they cannot get a clear response from Xcaret. With two young kids and full time jobs we cannot afford for our vacation plans to hang out in the air like this. Assuming that a high end resort would be client oriented and professional was a big mistake apparently.I am still hoping we can get this resolved but I wanted to warn others about potential complications in making changes to your booking.

My husband and I decided to go to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary at Hotel Xcaret. We pay a reservation for a room with ocean view with ONE KING Size BED.And when we get to check in... what do you think ???Sad news ... THEY PUT US IN A ROOM WITH TWO BEDS !!!! in the spiral house..the boy who attended us named GABRIEL told us that they do not reserve beds because they only have 7 rooms in that area with KING beds SIZE..and they were already occupied that as they are vacating they give them to the first client who arrives and requests it !!!Can you believe it ???Well, the truth bothered me a lot .. and I asked him .. THEN IT IS NO USE THAT I PAY FOR SOMETHING I WANT TO RESERVE ????Well, what Gabriel told me was ... I'm going to put some notes ... and his treatment was not very kind.So my husband and I had a room with separate beds (3 nights later they asked us if we wanted to change rooms at Casa Tierra ... because someone else had vacated a king size bed) when we wanted to be comfortable both in a bed in our wedding anniversary. The food, the parks and the rest of the staff were excellent.

My family of 10 all got sick from the food at Xcaret Hotel. We ended up getting salmonella.Out of 5 days we stayed,we spent the last 2 glued to the toilet.Looks like that's a normal occurrence at this resort in Mexico. The solution is a $270 in-hotel doctor visit. They injected us with something to stop the vomiting that worked for about 8 hours. Had to keep taking pills for 4 days to be able to keep food and water down.Really great experience before we got sick, but the lack of responsibility the resort took for essentially poisoning my entire family was too much too ignore. They should have at least paid for the Dr. since the food there got us sick. We never stepped out of the resort. Maybe even refunded us for those two days... I mean anything would have been nice. Instead, they've done nothing.

Very disheartening experience. We were there during hurricane Delta and was truly sad how that situation was handled. I couldn’t believe and don’t understand why some elderly people in the shelter had to sleep in chairs or just plainly on the floor. I would think that the hotel would have cots or air mattress for the the most vulnerable. I am very saddened to of witness that. It will be an experience that unfortunately won’t soon forget. We were moved from Casa Tierra to Casa Espiral due to the hurricane and what a horrible experience that was with our new room, ceiling constantly dripping water drops due to the humidity. Our first room in Casa Tierra we did not experience the water dripping from the ceiling. We slept on wet blankets due to the ceiling and water drops literally fell from the ceiling on us while we slept. Such a horrible way to wake up. We were really looking forward to Xcaret Show Spectacular but the hurricane damaged the stage so didn’t see the complete show, so missed that experience which we were really looking forward for. On top of hurricane Delta we were also there during tropical storm Gamma so all of the parks were closed for the first two days of our stay. Also, when I booked my reservation I asked for a room with 2 queen beds in Casa Tierra when we arrived we were givena king bed with a sofa bed. Lastly, we purchased photos for Xplor, Xenses and Xelha and but didn’t get our Xplor pictures. Overall a bad experience.

I was very disappointed in this vacation for many reasons. The hotel staff and management must not communicate at all.We tried booking into the restaurants the first day we got here and during covid as I am told they are only allowed to have 50% occupancy and I am sure they are well beyond this number. I was told immediately there was no bookings available. I know this because there was a hurricane while here and we had to sleep in a ball room surrounded by guests back to back during a pandemic. They said two wings of the hotel needed to be evacuated and there is several wings with many other rooms. If they were half booked there would be room in the other areas of the hotel for us to have been moved to.Instead we slept on a concrete floor with about 2000 people back to back. The mess post hurricane as it was only a category 2 was not bad at all. However they seem to use this as an excuse to close every restaurant, bar, spa and Amenity including no alcohol.I understand there was a storm but it looks like they are using it as an excuse to save money and deny guests what they had paid for. The pools were routinely shut down because they were apparently dirty but only had a few leaves in them. This happened twice. On two days and counting there was no alcohol allowed.Owning 2 businesses I know what it means to make people see that the customer service offered exceeds and meets expectations. They really don’t seem to care at all if you come back....business must be good.I would have brought the family back if they were at all reasonable but even during an emergency none of the guests knew what was going on from one minute to the next.Last but not least the food was amongst the worst I’ve had at any resort.

We really didn't want to go to Mexico because we had already been, but with covid restrictions,it made sense. Upon arrival,we were quite wowed with the property. We have been to many upscale all inclusives, got married at Sandals Grande, St.Lucia and none of them compared to Hotel Xcaret. Nothing was overlooked in the planning of the resort, from the suites to the grounds to the restaurants and so on. So much to see and do, and the park admissions being part of the package, genius. We loved it and became members. I cant wait for my boys to experience the resort.

My family and I had an extremely stressful time. On top of the tropical storm and Hurricane we had to experience the staff doesn’t communicate well. The first inconvenience was making the reservation and not being able to contact them directly. As soon as we arrived, they handed us off to our “concierge”, who was supposed to help us plan the itinerary, but her sole focus was to scam us into attending a 90 minute timeshare meeting. We had a tropical storm hit us the first night but their communication of what to do and how to handle it was very poor and disorganized. The floor was extremely slippery which caused me to slip and bang my head on the floor. All I was asked was for my room number and I never heard back from them. Nothing else was offered to me. All attractions were closed for the next 2 days as a result and we were obligated to stay on the hotel room. Then we get hit by a hurricane and they did a better job with the communication on this part but were still disorganized in a lot of other areas such as food and water. Our room was not cleaned for the remainder of the trip for some reason and they had no excuse for why housekeeping did not change the sheets or clean the room. Since we were basically stuck at the hotel for the week and could not attend most of the attractions (this is an all inclusive package) they did not offer us anything for compensation. Our last day, they left some other family’s luggage in our room after paying an extra night at full rate after we explained everything that had happened. In general the communication between the staff and the guests needs much work. We spent 80% of our time in the lobby trying to figure out the answers we needed because our phone line in the room was broken.

My wife and I just returned from a one week stay at Hotel Xcaret. We stayed at Casa Fuego and went to four parks: Xenses, Xel-Ha, Xplor, and Xcaret Park.We had a lovely time and wanted to leave a detailed review to praise the wonderful staff and give some information to others considering a visit to Hotel Xcaret.Casa Fuego - Since my wife and I do not have kids, we decided to upgrade our stay to the adults-only Casa Fuego. We are so glad that we did!It is more expensive, but definitely worth it!The ocean views are the best in the whole resort. We had two exclusive pools including the rooftop pool with the water bridge that you see in all the pictures. We had access to eat at Casa Fuego, which was my favorite restaurant. We had our own lobby and private check-in when we arrived, which really made me feel like a VIP! They also upgraded our room when we arrived so that we had a private patio.Best of all, Casa Fuego guests have a butler (actually two, since they work in teams). Ours were Ernesto and Penelope, who were incredibly helpful and attentive. They helped us with all of our questions and issues. They even escorted us to restaurants as we were familiarizing ourselves with the layout of the resort. Their English was perfect, but they were very kind in accommodating our preference to speak primarily in Spanish (even though our Spanish skills are quite rusty!)Overall we are so glad that we decided to stay at Casa Fuego.Dining - The food everywhere was great. Restaurante Fuego was a stand-out for fine dining. We also loved Xin-Gao. We ate at both Fuego and Xin-Gao twice. You need to make reservations agead of time. We booked ours a month ahead and had no problems getting the times we wanted. We also had Las Cuevas on our first night, but we were a little underwhelmed as the meat was mostly fatty (we generally prefer leaner cuts of meat), however that is a matter of personal preference. My wife absolutely loved El Mercado breakfast buffet. We ate there four times and still wanted more! There are also snacks in the rooms, a fridge full of free drinks, unlimted free room service, and food carts throughout the site. Since it is all inclusive your only limit is your appetite! The only downside to the dining was that several accommodations had to me made due to COVID-19 precautions (See below).COVID-19 Accommodations - We were impressed by how thorough everyone was with precautions. It does mean that the wait for service at the buffets is a bigger factor, since you cannot get your own food. If you just want to get a pancake, you may have to wait for someone to finish making an omlette for another customer. The staff are doing the best they can to adapt to this new normal. Everyone on staff was wearing a mask, some wore both a mask and face shield. Nearly all the guests were wearing masks, except for certain activities(swimming or eating for example). They even give you a gift bag with a mask and hand sanitizer when you arrive. They clean the siteconstantly and hand sanitizer is everywhere. We had to postpone our trip initially due to COVID-19, and we debated cancelling it altogether out of concern for the pandemic, but I am glad we went. I felt safer from COVID at Xcaret hotel and parks than I do at my job in the USA.Tips - As an American I am used to tipping for meals and other serivces. No one here asks for nor expects a tip, but they are appreciated. I had a hard time finding out what a "normal" tip was, so I'll share what I did. I would usually tip about 20 pesos per drink to a bartender, about 50 pesos per person for most restaurants, and 200 pesos per person at the nicer restaurants (such as Fuego).I would usually give 20 pesos per person for additional services such as to the bus driver or luggage handler. And I left a 1,000 peso tip at the end of the week to each of the butlers (that applies to Casa Fuego only). Since tips aren't required or expected like they are in the USA, they were very appreciated by the staff.

Pro:1. Food is excellent.2. The courteous service.3. The room is great and everything is very modern. The attractions are good and transport included.4. It is all inclusive, food drinks, minibar, room service.5. Access to pools and beaches everywhere6. Restaurants everywhere.7. Bathrooms everywhere.8. Life jackets everywhere.9. Security everywhere.10. Variety of transportation included (bus, bicycles, boat (trajinera)With:1. The waiting time for the room is long even with low volume of guests.2. The waiting time for a table in a restaurant is long even when it is almost empty.3. There is no order when being treated in the law firm (it is assisted) thanks to covid 19.4. The entrance doors to the rooms make too much noise when they close. (At 2 am you can hear when your neighbors enter and leave the room. (We touched a neighbor who entered and left the room more than 30 times between 1 amat 3 a.m.) Super annoying.5. Short lines in attraction but long to be attended.I understand that it is because guests leave without knowing what they want and employees who are excellent at giving exceptional service take longer, but it is still exasperating.6. Lastly, if you don't have $ 95,000 or more to spend on membership, don't ruin your vacation by taking the talk to become a member. The idea is excellent but far from the pocket of many like me.For everything else it is a wonderful vacation. Thanks Mexico----------------------------------------------Pro:1.

This was the worse experience ever. We got in the day a hurricane was suppose hit (not knowing) the hotel staff knew when we arrived but wouldn't tell us. They didn't communicate well at all, they wouldn't update as changes were made and they weren't clear with us on anything and every staff member had different answers to questions. They closed their parks which is understandable, but they also closed the restaurants and didn't serve liquor so we didn't use ANY of what we paid for... and they should've told us immediately and gave us the opportunity to try and book a flight right out. They also made certain rooms sleep on the floor in the lobby BUT more horror comes in where we paid for Casa Fuego ( a more expensive option with butler service and adult only) and they decided to put us in the most inexpensive room, with no butler service no room service and it wasn't adult only, So because they told us we couldn't get Casa Fuego we asked for at least a refund on the price difference, Ulises Miranda the guest services manager said they would not give us a refund of the price difference because they gave us shelter, and we said but don't make us pay the more expensive price when we aren't getting the service and Ulises Miranda said it's not his fault and we are not getting a refund of the difference although we didn't use the services and we didn't get what we paid for. The guest services manager was very rude and told us that we were paying for shelter, and that it's not his fault. That is not how you provide guest services. He then said if you leave I'll refund u the rest of the nights. Finally found a flight out and went to check out and Angle at the front desk said I wasn't getting a refund and I have to send an email to express my concerns, I explained that Ulises said I could and I was told i took to long, so I left anyway. Their customer service was awful I paid so much money and didn't receive not ONE service. Beautiful property management inability to provide guest services was frustrating.

My husband and I celebrated our 5th year wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful and unforgettable time at Xcaret! What an awesome place for sun, fun and people! The company should be proud to have such dedicated staff that works hard to make visitors feel welcome and special. Hands down the best vacation weve ever had and we have traveled in many places! From amazing food and choices, excellent service, friendly staff, wonderful parks and amenities that are all excellent! We will be back with our kids, soon! Muchas Gracias, Xcaret!

EXTREMELY DISSAPPOINTED in my stay at Xcaret Hotel. Their services were NOT WORTH the $700 a night we paid. We paid additional for the swim-up room which ended up being closed half of the time because of the storm, which I understand was beyond their control. But their services (or lack thereof) is what's really stressing me to write this review.Upon checking in, we were told our luggage would be delivered to our room. After about an hour, our luggage still wasn't there so we decided to go have dinner first (in our airport clothes). When we returned, our luggage still wasn't in our room so we called about 3 times (every 20 mins) and each time we called, the front desk said they were on their way to our room. It wasn't until 4 HOURS later that we decided to go back to the lobby to look for our luggage instead. When we got there, we found our luggage just sitting in the middle of the lobby nowhere near being delivered to our room. The next day, we tried to make reservations for the excursions which are all supposed to be included in your stay with the hotel. Turns out that 3 of the parks were closed, but NOWHERE on their website or in any follow-up reservation emails did they mention that there were any park closures. We were super excited to go to Xichen Itza, but unfortunately that was closed. We decided to make reservations for Xel-Ha in Tulum so when we showed up at 7:00am in the lobby on the day of our excursion, we were extremely frustrated to find out that the trip was cancelled! We didn’t receive a courtesy call, door knock or anything to let us know about the cancellation. The irritating part is that we didn’t go out or explore the night prior because we wanted to make sure we woke up early for the trip. It felt like another night wasted. While we were stuck in the resort, we tried to make use of our time by using the pools and beaches but around 3pm, they suddenly closed the main pool and had us relocate to another pool in the resort. We asked the bartenders why they were closing, but they said they were just told to close and didn’t know why. We then tried to order room service because all the restaurants were packed, but we didn’t get our food until 3 HOURS LATER. We thought maybe it was just backed up because of the storm and everyone being stuck in the resort, but the next day when the parks reopened, we ordered room service again and we didn’t receive our food for another 2.5 HOURS later! After being fed-up with all the issues at the hotel, we decided to talk to a manager so we could voice our concerns about how we felt short-changed during our stay. Immediately they said we had to wait a few HOURS to talk to someone. When we finally spoke to Johanna, a manager at the resort, she said there was nothing she could do because apparently we “booked our trip through a third party agency” to which I immediately told her that was incorrect, because I booked DIRECTLY through their website. She then said that because it was towards the end of our stay and that we had already used their facilities, there was nothing she could do except maybe reverse a couple of the charges we made at the hotel—a lousy $150. We also argued that we weren’t even able to use the facilities because they were closed 70% of the time! When we checked out the next morning, the $150 was removed, but we were surprised with an additional $327 from Xcaret park which we didn’t remember charging. We asked for an itemized bill so we could check what the charges were for and the receptionist said all they had was the total amount and that we had to pay it in order to check out. I was so angry but had no choice to pay it because we were running out of time to go to the airport. To this day, I still don’t know what the $327 charges were for.I definitely DO NOT recommend staying at this hotel. Save yourself half the price and stay at another all-inclusive with better service. We will definitely not be booking with Xcaret Hotel again.

It took us 1.5 hours to check in to our rooms. We had two reservations and wanted them side by side...one with a king bed and one with two double beds. There should be an option to select such prior to arrival, and the rooms should be ready when we arrive. Also, we took the Tulum - Xel Ha excursion. We had to be on the bus at 7:30 only to be shuttled to Xel Ha to wait in line for over an hour to select additional activities for later that afternoon. Then we went on to Tulum and back, which was nice.By the time we got back to the park, it was noon, and we were hungry.Had to eat, then off to our Snuba activity.By the time that was all done, we had very little time left to explore the rest of the park.Overall, very disappointing. It also discouraged us from checking out the other parks while we were there. We also tried to make restaurant reservations at Xin Gao well in advance of our arrival. When we found out we could not get a reservation, we then tried for Cuevas. Never heard back from anyone as to whether or not we could get the reservations prior to our arrival. Finally, one day our room was not cleaned after multiple requests to clean it.Otherwise, the experience was good...very nice property with friendly and helpful staff. And excellent food.We went for a destination wedding, and I was reminded of why I do not do all-inclusive vacations...felt like herded cattle.Cannot imagine that we will ever return.

Wow wow wow. ❤️

Trying to re-book a wedding date at this resort is the most maddening process I have ever experienced. If it was appropriate to post the email thread from the Xcarat team regarding this process, I absolutely would to hopefully prevent anyone else from even thinking about booking an event here. And I pray that someone from management actually reads these reviews and reaches out so I can show them how their team handles clients. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT book an event with this resort.

I'm here now. Check-in was terrible! You spend all this time pre- registering only to have an hour long check-in, even though the lobby was empty. After 6 pm, there is nowhere to get alcohol except for the lobby and maybe one other place. Room service will not deliver drinks and if you order a bottle its an extra charge, even though there is no service anywhere else. No one seems to know whats on. I ordered a River view suite and I'm facing a swiming pool. Never again; don't do it!

OMG YES! This is the only way to vacation, and the only place for us now! Not only is this the most wonderful country, culture and community, but they take drastic and amazing efforts to repopulate extinct or endangered species of birds, insects and flora! If anyone complains about the food, it's because they didn't ask for salt or pepper, notify staff of preferences or are plain crazy. There are millions of people through here and they cannot put salt in everything due to that. If you don't like it, first try some salt. Only downside is the dirty and disrespectful guests throwing thier masks and straws everywhere because they are lazy, dirty and lack respect. Please people, there are cans all.over and your coming to another person's homeland and literally dumping on it. I hope someone does this in your house and doesn't care about you in return. You don't deserve to vacation at places like this...

This hotel is truly amazing, the place is so beautiful that you can’t believe it, and service is really excellent, people are extremely nice. But there were a couple things we didn’t like. When we made the reservation the website makes you feel you are booking a room a little different than reality, then our reservation specified that the room came with a bottle of mezcal which we never saw (even after calling the receptionist and asked for it). Also we got there late because our flight got a little delayed and even arriving to the hotel after check-in time it took them almost 3 hours to give us access to our room, the concierge we got assigned barely gave us anyinformation (I think she was having a bad day) so we couldn’t do half of the things we had planned for the first day. Food is good, service like I said is exceptional but I really feel we wasted the first afternoon because of the delay. Specially being our honeymoon I would have expected a little more effort.

The service is by far the best in Mexico. They really do pay attention to detail. They ask you for your special occasion if there are any upon arrival and give you a nice surprise in between dinner or leave something nice in your room. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you are have the best time possible. I have already been here 5 times and there is no where else id want to be. When i say this is the best, trust me its the best. I rarely get impressed by anything. But this place never fails to impress me.

I have the worst experience in a Mexico hotel since I start going every year to Mexico. The concierge was very bad and I believe that the management of the hotel should be improve because the service in general was good. We stay 6 days and we only be able to go to one of the multiples restaurant that have reservation. Additionally, the food on the buffet lack of variety and is very limited to someone that have food restriction and because they need to serve you the service gets really slow some time. The hotel only have one show and you need to reserved to see it, beside that the only entertainment was live music during the nights and you need go over other park if you want to see something different, so at the end the hotel is really poor on entertainment if you only are going to enjoy the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel, instead anyone can go to a better hotel and then go to the parks if they want.

I rarely write reviews, good or bad. But this place was simply magnificent. The staff are welcoming in all of the restaurants of the hotel. The people at the reception are understanding of your needs and there's always someone to guide you if you need help. I strongly recommend coming here especially with the discount right now because of COVID-19.

I live part time in Cancun, I’ve been to Hotel Xcaret three times and every time I go I get the worst service and I don’t understand why. The hotel itself is stunning, but if I’m staying somewhere service is the most important. The check in process takes over an hour, never in my life has a check in at a hotel taken so long (and this happened to me all three times I came.)Every time I asked for something from majority of the hotel staff members (drinks, towels, food, anything)it was as if I was hassling them or as if they were doing me a favor.Another thing I realized is that they were cheap with food servings at the buffet and if I ever asked for more than the serving they gave me it would be an eye roll or again a hassle, (never have I experienced this before this was unacceptable beyond belief.)I won’t be returning to this hotel. You would think that with only 30% capacity during corona they would be more attentive and give better service to the clients they do have, but nope, nothing’s changed.

I have to admit this place made our trip . It wasn’t the best service that a 4 S should give but on average they were very gentle . Actually we had lost our baggage and the company airlines didn’t give them back to us before the end of the trip . So they try to pamper us in the best way they could .I definetely have to say thank you and I hope to see you soon . Maybe with our baggages🥂Best regards

5 stars for a 5 diamond resort! This resort is an all inclusive like no other! I visited during the pandemic and I can assure you they take our safety very serious. Everything is sanitized even your shoes when you board the buses!Guests beware upon checkin they will take you into a large room and offer you a drink and a sales pitch to attend a timeshare presentation.Only thing I didn’t like was the pushy sales guy (Enrique) trying to convince me to attend the timeshare presentation. No means no! I turned him down at least 15 times! That was just to commit to attending can’t imagine how high pressure their sales pitch would’ve been had I actually gone!

Horrible, sorry but true. I had cockroaches in my room, 3438, many I have the pics. My whole family got food poison, i got denied service at the infinity pool by waiter. It was 640pm and bar closed at 7pm so i was told it would take long, for me to go get my drink, kids club denied entrance to my twins when I was told the club was open to all kids with no # restriction, I spoke with 2 supervisor and one apologized the other just smiled. It is sad to pay thousands to go thru this. But if you break the rules you have to pay money money money! I also had issues with the photo package. Not good too bad I cannot leave happy as I was when I made reservation. Make you wait in line 3 times room not ready at 3pm. If you say no to meet for a membership meeting you receive attitude!

This was our honeymoon Aug 3rg- 8th. Wow!!we were so impressed with this hotel that I still think about today. The cleanliness of the property and the room was out of this world clean. The parks you get in for free was AMAZING!!!its like an adult Disney Land. My husband really enjoyed the street tacos by the pool along with the swim-up bars. The drinks were excellent!! that staff was so nice!!Getting back to states during a pandemic, we have to say that we are safe, healthy and cant wait to go back!

This is a breath-taking and spectacular hotel. The hotel far surpasses what other hotels of the same all-inclusive format offers. They take the concept of "all-inclusive" to another impressive level. The customer service is exceeding. Their COVID protocols are surpassing. They take it seriously!!!! That's great! Words and photos do not depict the greatness and grandness of this place! This is a "must experience" place.

I will give them two stars for the simple reason that I did not have the opportunity.I wanted make a reservation for two adults and two children 6 and 7 years old, but in the end I wanted to add my sister-in-law to the reservation and the person in charge told me that I had to reserve another room to add the extra person I needed another room. The reason I wanted my sister-in-law to be in the room with us is because my children love so much I can't find the reason why she can't be in our room.I can't find the reason because I have to pay for a second room for one extra person. I have done it before in other high-class hotels such as the Velas Resort in Playa del Carmen and Atlantis DubaiA couple of years ago I had a reservation at the Velas Resort and I added my niece and the only thing I had to pay was the daily extra for her stay because is all-inclusive resort understandable.I explained to the people I spoke to that I didn't mind paying the extra for the extra person but supposedlyHe ask the managerand He declineto add my sister-in-law..I Reallywantedto try this resort just because myfriend(Youtuber) told me about it but now I'm very disappointed...

Absolutely the best hotel I've stayed at. My boyfriend and I were here for a week and we did not want to leave. We ended up upgrading to Casa Fuego which was totally worth it. Best restaurant is exclusive to the ones staying there. Staff was amazing, food, drinks and all the parks and tours. There is so much to do for all ages. I definitely felt safe here , I know alot of travelers are worried about the pandemic, but Xcaret went above and beyond on sanitation . Masks are required but you do experience a bit of normalcy. We've had many people reach out to us about the hotel ever since we posted on social media. Everything was so wonderful I really wish I could have extended our stay. The staff makes you feel like home and it is as if we are family there. We visited 4 parks (Xplor, Xenses, Xcaret and Xenotes) I was bummed to hear the tours to the pyramids were still closed but that is out of the hotels hands since the Mexican government implemented this rule. It gives me more of a reason to come back. My favorite experience was the show at Theatro, ziplining at Xplor, and swimming in the beautiful cenotes. Give yourself the chance the walk around the property to familiarize yourself with everything. The place is HUGE. Make your reservations for the restaurants and activities (that require it) in advance so you don't miss out on all the great opportunities at Xcaret. The only cons I have are check in takes a very long time. Alot of information is being given to you which is understandable, but when you're feeling jet lagged you just want to chill in your room. Another thing is that the hotel tries to push selling you a time share.I don't like commitments so we quickly declined the offer and the gentlemen seemed bothered by our answer because we would not budge. Timeshares just aren't my thing but for those who are, take advantage of it .Overall I can't wait to come back! Thank you again!

We have a trip to this hotel that we purchased back in January to go from the US in May because of the pandemic; we could not go. Since then, we have been trying to find a refund or some credit to be used in the future, and until this day, we have no answer from this place other than sorry we can't give you a refund. Such an unfortunate treatment in the middle of such a difficult time. Horrible experience working with this hotel.

¡Felicidades a ambos!

Best place in the world. They think in every single detail. The service and attention is perfect. Above the expectations. It is all included and the quality of the services is worth it.*** Me encanta este lugar.

Everything is perfect 10 stars! PlusFood & drink are excellent! Every staff you see at the Xcaret hotel or park they are very friendly and very respectful.Room are great with cleaning service with twice a day!The only problem is that since my room was Right next to the Bridge every-time the room service pass by the bridge with the cart or people run by the bridge you could hear everything from your room and it wake me up from my sleep. Other than that everything was perfect!

First, we traveled with two young children so the room in the first floor close to the pool was okay. However, initially we were assigned to a room in the 6th floor with a balcony, hence we required an immediate change!Second, the breakfast time was a nightmare every day. On the first day we found a very long line waiting for a table at El Mercado. Our children cried and were upset because of the waiting time. Luckily and only by chance we found Bio...Of course after walking and walking. Then, the lack of initial information about the restaurant’s reservations caused uncertainty and stress. The same happened with the parks. You should detail the real facts to families with small children who need water, food and bathrooms frequently. Also, please improve the description of the rides the little ones can do. Another suggestion would be to include water fountains in the parks and hotel to encourage water bottles use and reduce plastic consumption. Finally, the sales strategy for memberships really is annoying because they never really tell you that the meeting will be for a sales attempt and they push you even making you sign a form stating that if you do not accept whatever deal is provided you will loose it and it will not be given to you after that meeting. This creates pressure in the customer and it is evident that they are desperate to sale you the membership. On the bright side, the installations are well designed with a good nature to building balance. There is some maintenance necessary specially at the ground levels where the humidity creates drops that run through the walls but overall it is a clean and cozy place.

One of a kind resort. Here are the good things we experienced during our 2020 summer stay. The goodThe resort emphasizes the Mexican culture through:- Architecture: Simply breathtaking, the colors used such as rosa mexicano (dark pink), the singular lattices, the Mexican art you can see everywhere created by Mexican hands, the pleasant scent across all venues give a great touch and uniqueness to this resort, also, the wide spaces and corridors provide good air flow so hot spots are almost null, and although we visited this resort during Covid19 times (<50% capacity) we’re confident that the site plan keeps guests scattered so you don’t feel the place overcrowded.- Guest service: Our experience was beyond compare, the hosts, servers and bartenders were wonderful and attentive who we tipped unconditionally; special thanks to Penelope and Ernesto (our butlers) who were constantly checking on us through text messages and helping us with our questions and requirements.- Gastronomy: What can we say? Born and raised in Mexico City, we can tell you, this place has the best Mexican cuisine we’ve tasted; and don’t get us started with the fusions we got from Casa Fuego restaurant, simply amazing, not to mention the Pulpo with Verdolagas at Los Faroles. At Mercado la Merced, we loved the quesadillas and the Panadero who brought us a smile on our lips. At Trajinera and Las Playas we loved the “garnachas” (pork/fish/chicken on tacos, sopes, and tostadas).- Cocktail drinks: This is a very sensitive topic in all-inclusive resorts; but finally… we found a resort where every drink is enjoyable and first-class, specially Pina Coladas at the Lobby Bar, tequila cocktails at Los Faroles, and a whisky/coffee digestif at Las Playas.- Activities: Since our visit was about relaxation, we enjoyed our long promenades in the resort after each meal, the adults-only and exclusive-to-Casa-Fuego-guests rooftop pool was the cherry on top where we read our best-seller books with an spectacular view and a nice breeze from the beach; now, this doesn’t mean the resort is “boring”, you also have plenty of other pools where people are much more dynamic, plus the caletas have kayaks and paddleboards which we also did, and one of the best perks is that you have unlimited access to any of the Grupo Xcaret parks (Xplor, Xcaret, Xel Ha, Xense, etc) with frequent transfers in case you are in the mood for something strenuous or different.- Music: Continuing with the Mexican experience, music is Mexican (pop, ranchera, baladas, etc). At some venues we could listen to English music but was sort of lounge music. We liked the fact that this is not a get-drunk and party-all-day resort, for that, people have plenty of cheaper choices in Cancun.- Sustainability: Even though any man-made structure is not 100% “green”, we loved that the resort avoids the depletion of natural resources and maintains an ecological balance. It was amazing seeing wildlife in the resort such as monkeys on trees, fish in the caletas, coatis in the corridors, colorful birds, and pacific iguanas.- Order: On our last evening at Casa Fuego, we saw new guests who thought they could do a big party at the pool by putting their music super loud, behaving somewhat vulgar, and making lots of noise, since Fuego restaurant terrace is by this pool, even some guests having dinner decided to move inside. We later saw a staff member inviting these people to chill. Unfortunately, the hotel will continue having these type of guests, but we thank the staff by doing the difficult task to keep order so everyone enjoys their vacation.Overall:If you want to indulge in a true Mexican experience with great attention to detail where sustainability does not compromise comfort, Hotel Xcaret is the answer.Suggestion for future guests:While it’s not required, we highly recommend bringing at least US$30/day/family in singles, so you can tip your servers, bartenders, housekeepers, butlers, etc; these people really go above and beyond.

I worked for Disney and Waldorf Astoria, so trust me when I say I know my stuff, My job is to know hospitality excellence and service excellence, and I can tell you this is by far better than both mentioned placed. The beauty and quality of the place is obvious however the service and amenities offered as part of the all inclusive fun will justify Every penny you spend in this property. Xcaret Hotel is Perfect your family will not have any better fun, memories, food, or experience. Xcaret is an experience that is clearly part of much bigger vision. This place was created by a Mexican family and 1 person in particular who is walt disney meets Elon Musk of hospitality. This is by far the best vacation I've been on! A++++++

What can I say about this place! I know I have never stayed at a resort quite like this. This was a once in a lifetime experience my family and I. If you are worried about traveling and safety during covid, please don't worry while here. The cleaning procedures are so thorough from your checkin all the way to checkout....food, drinks and the activities at the resort and sister parks was phenomenal. Our family are quite the seasoned travelers and this place exceeded our expectations. The staff members were exquisite, with a special applause to Yazmin at check in.

It was my first visit to the hotel, and definitely the last. This place fell so short on my expectations. My husband and I are very low key, no fuss travelers, and it took everything in me to stay cool through this experience. We went in with an open mind, knowing travel would be different during a pandemic. But this hotel liked basic customer service and procedures that I would expect at any hotel. We couldn't get out of there fast enough.Everything from beginning to end was terrible customer service. The check in/out process was unreasonably long and awful. Your YouTube video showed a contactless check-in/out process and that was not the case. I waited almost an hour and a half to check in with a line of people. It was the same hour-long wait to check out. The worst check-in I've ever experienced at any hotel. Even when we reached the end of the line, I could not understand why the staff member took so long to get us checked in and give us a room key. She clicked away and had us sign multiple forms. Again, adding another 30 minutes to the check-in process. There are definite rooms for improvement here, to say the least.I found the staff extremely unhelpful. We received conflicting information on multiple occasions. Everyone seemed to lack information. I understand that things are currently changing day to day, but why not prep your employees with a cheat sheet on open parks/restaurants. So much misinformation was given, adding frustration. We could not get anyone to help, or give us a straight answer on anything. I felt like asking questions was inconveniencing your staff who seemed so off-putting. Everything required us to walk down and wait in a line at the Reservations desk only to get told every restaurant/activity we wanted to do was already booked.I requested laundry service that didn't arrive when it was scheduled, only to call and find out that I had to WALK DOWN to the check-in desk, wait in another hour long line just to pay for my service. I would expect so much more from this type of hotel. Options are to take payments over the phone or have a credit card terminal that your staff to take to the room. This is just the tip of the iceberg on things that fell short in my expectations. We finished our trip at a JW Mariott and the difference in customer service was night and day. So disappointing.

Overall I had a wonderful experience. However, with Hotel Xcaret’s high prices, there were some issues I had with the amenities and check in process. I rated xcaret a 4/5 for the following reasons:Negative: We had cold weather and there were no hot hubs to warm us!It was freezing and all we wanted was a warm pool and hot tub. Xcaret has neither of these things. The pool was so cold that even when the sun was out we had a hard time going into the pool. In order to stay warm we had to go to the spa hot tub (indoors) and pay $35 each. I could have done this back home in Seattle. For reference we went end of feb- first week of March.Negative: After a delayed flight, the last thing we wanted to do at our 2pm arrival was wait in the lobby for 2 more hours, but unfortunately that’s what happened. For our anniversary they placed us with a view of the kids pool. It took an hour to switch to another view, which had major construction going on. The man assisting us was friendly but didn’t know how to use the computer to book rooms and needed assist. Next, the hostess in the lobby sat us down to discuss the park. We told her we were all set & that we didn’t need this, but she insisted we sit down as she tried to sell us timeshare (two unmarried 27 year olds). This whole process took 2 hours and we lost the last bit of warm weather for the day.Negative: night life is lacking. If you are looking for awesome food and a daytime retreat this is the place. But don’t expect great nightlife at the resort. This didn’t bother us too much as a couples retreat, but felt it was worth a mention.Positive: the rooms are amazing and clean.Positive: the staff is lovely and friendly. 5 star.Positive: the food is phenomenal.Overall: My boyfriend keeps asking to go back but I just cannot until xcaret gets a few hot tubs and warms their pools. If by chance you fly to Mexico and the weather is bad, don’t expect to feel anything but freezing here. Xcaret, please get hot tubs and speed up the check in process so we can return! We love you guys otherwise!

Everything is perfect 10 stars! Plus
Food & drink are excellent! Every staff you see at the Xcaret hotel or park they are very friendly and very respectful.
Room are great with cleaning service with twice a day!
The only problem is that since my room was Right next to the Bridge every-time the room service pass by the bridge with the cart or people run by the bridge you could hear everything from your room and it wake me up from my sleep. Other than that everything was perfect!

I cannot recommend Hotel Xcaret enough! The entire experience from being picked up at the airport was fantastic. All the staff are so happy and helpful. The pool side attendants remembered my kids names from day to day and even had a special birthday treat sent to our room for my son who turned 6 while we were there. My wife and I are already looking at dates to go back and it can't come soon enough!

Top notch resort!Beautiful location that is unique in its topography, wonderful staff, great food and rooms that are cleaned twice a day!If I have to add a bit of constructive criticism is that I would love more dishes with plant based protein.Their are several vegetarian meals available but they are very simple in nature(salads and plates of vegetables). You will be hard pressed to find a better resort, definitely worthy of 5 stars!!

I've stayed at 8 all-inclusive resorts in the Cancun / Riviera Maya area and Hotel Xcaret is one of my favorites. It cannot be overstated just how gorgeous the entire resort is. There is some lush greenery at every turn and great care was taken to make sure everything looks perfect. Unlike most other resorts in the area that focus on the beach, this place focuses on the river that runs through the resort which is amazing to look at and even more fun to swim in!The biggest draw of the resort, though, has to be what it calls its All-Fun Inclusive. By staying at the resort you have unlimited access to the parks on the property (Xcaret, Xplor, and Xenses) as well as access to parks up and down the coast (Xel-ha and Xavage) and a bunch of tours and excursions to places like Chichen-Itza and Coba and Tulum. I bet I could stay 2 weeks at this resort and still not run out of new things to do every day. Most of the resort is family friendly so there are kids running around all over the place, but the resort does have one exclusive area that is Adults-Only: Casa Fuego. It's a more expensive room category but it gains you access to two exclusive pools, a bar, and a restaurant. And of course you have access to the rest of the resort as well.I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking to spend some time in the Riviera Maya due to its sheer beauty and how many fun activities are included with your stay.

Hotel Xcaret is not just another All Inclusive resort, its the experience of a lifetime and you will only find it at Hotel Xcaret. The service is TOP QUALITY, the food is amazing, the parks are unbelievable, the hotel is incredible and smells insanely delicious. I seriously cannot express how much I recommend it, the only one on the world with the All Fun Inclusive concept.100% recommend it! 💕

Spent 5 days here for a wedding, and I don't think I'll ever experience this nice of a resort again. Our balcony had a bathtub made out of volcanic rock, and we sat in it and watched a monkey eat fruit off of the trees.
The food was incredible. Pools were gorgeous and varied from partyish to quiet. There is a lot for kids to do too.

By far the best hotel we've ever stayed at. We are a family of 4 (2 boys aged 5&2). There is plenty to do, including visiting the nearby parks, which are included in your stays. The hotel accomidates young ones very well, they even have little beach chairs for the all over, life jackets everywhere, and little snack carts if they get hungry. The beach is the best part. The beach is in a cover where there are zero waves and water is, for the most part, shallow for kids to wad in the water.Food was great! Plenty of options and very high quality. The parks you can access for free are great and well run.We found 7 days not enough to enjoy the parks and the resort itself.

A top tier resort with great amenities and food. My room was modern and tastefully decorated with an excellent view from the balcony and a mini-jungle scene outside the front door. Service was very good. Although expensive, it certainly earned its 5 stars. It was fun floating through their canal and cave system. They also have an adults only section with a great rooftop pool.

This is hands down the best resort in Riviera Maya! The service is unmatched - the employees are so nice and respectful and go out of their way for you! Their motto is bienvenido a casa which means welcome home and truly you feel at home with the hospitality there! We have been 3 times in the past 2 years and are already planning our return for 2020. The price is a little high but if you break it down after all the included parks and tours, the amazing food, transportation to and from the price is very reasonable. If you are looking for a resort - look no further.

If you plan on staying here, please book at least 10 days, cause there is too much to live and see in the hotel itself and the parks, as well as deluxe tours they offer with all fun inclusive concept. Everything is so well designed and built, very luxurious, yet so well implemented in the nature surrounding it. Rooms are fantastic, beds are really comfortable, food is extraordinary, not only in a la carte restaurants (where you can eat for free (in almost all of them), but also in buffet restaurants. The beach is small but perfect, there are many pools with bars and so many views to check out. Highly recommended !!!! Must experience it yourself to know!!!

Best hotel in Mexico period. It's an all-inclusive and an all fun inclusive hotel. You get access to all the Xcaret parks when you stay at this resort with transportation every 20mnts and it has 9 restaurants on property all included with your stay. The place smells amazing and the attention to detail is impeccable. The owner and founder is an Architect. This place will not disappoint.

We really enjoyed our trip. Everything was beautiful. We loved our room and all the amenities. Every person we had for any type of service was amazing. The included parks are wonderful. We had an amazing time and will be back. Since this is a newer resort I feel like they were missing a few things.I wish they had a walk up snack bar or the carts (taco, fruit, elote) were out more frequently.Stopping our fun to go sit down and eat was fine but would have preferred grab and go here and there. The last resort we staid at basically had a mini mall on site it had several grab and go options. We had several stores on site to do all of our shopping atand artists came in 2 nights a week to sell items. Overall a beautiful resort I cant wait to see what the future holds for this place.

The staff is the number one asset of this place. They work so hard from early morning til nighttime six days a week. For the most part, most are very friendly. The only people I would say were not the friendliest were the concierge employees in the main lobby area. Not the most helpful either. The second asset, the views, as you could see from the pics. We had a river view suite and waited hours for our room well past check in time at the concierge station. Not sure if its the language barrier or not, but there was no explanation. We kept being told 20 minutes any time we asked that turned into hours. Also our room had a leak, which - thank you to maintenance they showed up after 9pm on a Friday night to fix, however we had to ask 3 times for it to be fixed. Our bathroom floor was covered in water three different days we were there.Great vacation that honestly can't be beat. Honestly, avoid concierge at all costs. They only want to sell you their membership and I'm not sure they really want to help with anything else. Yes, they are amiable with requests, but with a follow up regarding the membership meeting. Also, call room service for water. Trying to get water was near impossible.Even when ordering at a restaurant,we were met with several servers who might have thought we were crazy for asking for water. Maybe filtered water dispensers in each room would be better. The hotel is quiet in most areas. The views are gorgeous.Wait staff at bars, restaurants are attentive and so nice. Hotel Xcaret also does a great job at offering multiple shuttles to different parks from the gondola, to the bus, to biking or walking. Truly paradise here. Expensive but a once in a lifetime experience.

PROS: stunning landscape, excellent staff that goes above and beyond, food was really delicious, sparkling clean, spacious bathrooms.HIGHLY recommend this resort!CONS : you can easily get overwhelmed with activities, the sales presentation was incredibly long, and there's a lot of pressure to purchase pictures at the parks
