Renovated in 2014, the hotel was originally opened in 1956 by the Swedish royal family, and was Ernest Hemingway's Madrid home. This popular hotel enjoys an excellent, central location in the tourist centre of Madrid close to the old town and the Prado museum. “Fantastic location, very accommodating staff. We had a small room, but super comfortable bed, stylishly decorated, cool bathroom with the BEST walk-in shower EVER (hot, high pressure rain shower head + handheld, and quite spacious). Nice DeLonghi pod espresso maker in the room; you can ask for more coffee pods, milk and bottled water for your coffee. Well priced for Madrid (I paid the same for an OK Airbnb). My only complaint would be the carpet when you walk in the front door is stained and tattered, but that's easily fixed so I am not sure why it's like that. And 24 euros each for breakfast is quite high.Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, couldn't beat the location!”

Toda a equipe foi acolhedora e gentil, mesmo antes de recebermos um upgrade inesperado para uma suíte no 4º andar. A vista noturna do bar da cobertura Hemingway é de tirar o fôlego, mas excessivamente barulhenta e lotada para o nosso público. A Casa Suicia no andar de baixo tem comida e ambiente de 5 estrelas. Caminhada fácil até o Museu do Prado e as principais atrações. Kudos especiais para Jasmine de relações com os hóspedes Nós definitivamente voltaremos.”
