“I wish I could give 5 stars, but I can’t. An hour before departing the hotel to fly home on Wednesday afternoon October 20, my cell phone was stolen. I had been reading by the Hyde Beach pool, and around 4pm walked up to my room to pack. The pool area had been very quiet this afternoon, with a few guests around on the opposite side of the pool, and 2 staff members doing drink service and towel service. Within 30 minutes of going to my room, I realized I didn’t have my phone, and I must have left it down on the cabana amongst the towels. The towels had been picked up by staff, and my phone was gone (and also turned off even though I knew it was charged). The hotel management made multiple promises over the next few weeks to work with my boyfriend and I to help ameliorate the situation, but nothing happened. They were not prompt in communication, shared no copies of security footage so we could add that to the police report filed, and gave us no direct way to contact them. I’m extremely disappointed with how this was handled, and recommend anyone staying there to keep a close eye on their belongings. Shame on management and shame on staff.”
